Dogmatix
Presumably she went off to the UK marry an Englishman. Since she works there as a hairdresser, he can't be a rich man. The parents probably refused to believe this, since all farangs are known to be rich, and were disappointed not to receive the remittances they demanded. Now that they have given up hopes of receiving a large income from their daughter, they have decided to take their revenge by ensuring she can never visit Thailand again. Time Traveller
If found guilty for disrespect, I hope she go to jail to the limit of the punishment. 5 years for every disrespect. That will be good for her. Thailand do not have such disrespectful people. We all love the king more than our parents. Don't believe me, just ask anything Thai you know. Brainwashed ! puipuitom
In the Netherlands we have a quite popular Royal House. Now in fact the fourth generation of enormous popularity. And be sure.. many know exactly when some side / fail steps were made. So… they are human…. Lese Majeste ... I suppose 90% of the populations does not have an idea, what is meant by it. It is more treated like.. the speaking bird ( parrot) in a zoo…: nobody pays any attention.
cliffly
Morals in Thailand contradict themselves. You can't do this or do that but it is ok to do this or that. Almost nothing seems to make sense, idiocy at it's highest form. I find Thais to be generally very weak minded, they are mentally insecure and this shows especially in her parents actions here and also in the lese majeste rule itself. The Royal family should be able to withstand a few negative comments, as should governments and anyone else exposing themselves to the public eye whether by choice or not. It comes with the job I am afraid. The UK is an incredibly stable, tolerant society with a very healthy Royal Family and it's citizens are free to say what they wish. You would think that Thailand would take notes from such countries, but no, they are much too mentally insecure to do this, instead choosing to save face for their own personal gain, or to avoid a confrontation, which again shows weakness in my opinion. Will they ever learn?

Hence the reason for the LM law enforced with maximum penalty for anything even resembling lack of respect. jpeg
I did have a smidgen of sympathy for the parents, what with their living in Thailand and the daughter posting in Thai, (and before anyone starts up well she's Thai duh, she could have kept her parents safe from her musings and posted in English, little bit of compromise goes a long way), from a very safe distance. Up until today when I learned of what Human Rights Watch has today labelled a Witch Hunt calling itself the Rubbish Collection Organisation , fronted by a very senior army general, whose sole purpose is to track down and prosecute potential abusers of the lese majeste law here. Their Facebook page has 93,000 followers already. Exactly how does Thailand intend to progress when arcane Organisations like this are excitedly formed (93,000 to date ). Chilling. hughben
Briefly looking at a video on her FB page, she has one of those annoying squeaky voices some women have that sounds like she's doing it on purpose. Dogmatix
Looking at her Facebook page I think she and Andre McGregor Marshall should get together. They both seem obsessed with the same topic. Perhaps it is time for Marshall to get a haircut and some time in Ealing away from his Cambodian bolt hole would do him good. He could sell some signed copies of his new book "Thailand a Kingdom in Crisis" and perhaps the sales into double digits before sneaking off to Buck House to through a few dog turds over the railings. He might need an advance from Robert Amsterdam first though, as his chosen academic field is not very lucrative and, unlike Khun Chatwadee, he had no day job as a hair stylist. Dogmatix
Had another look at her page and found the videos. The voice is indeed rather irritating and there is an English language one, Hughben. It is no. 3 in the list. Her voice in English is the same as her voice in Thai Her English is fluent and fully comprehensible but sounds largely self-taught without much grounding in grammar, vocabulary or syntax, supporting my mischievous theory that she is of humble origins and the parents are p*ssed off with her for not sending them money. I skimmed through some of the videos to get a better idea of what she is about before I could stand the whiny voice no longer. She is totally obsessive and is already in touch with Andrew MacGregor Marshall et al. Notably in a couple of the videos she thanks the UDD for all their messages of support. Perhaps Ko Tee is a member of her fan club, if not Jatuporn, Nattawut, Thida and Jakrophob too. The first couple of clips are the most articulate. She explains that she is a British citizen living in the UK with a British family and that Thai law doesn't apply in the UK where citizens are entitled to express their views freely as long as they have a factual basis for their opinions. Anyone who feels they have been slandered or libelled must file a suit in the court for themselves and she says anyone who feels that way is welcome to sue her in the British courts. She complains she is being wrongfully intimidated by the DSI and the ICT, since she has done nothing wrong under English law and they have no jurisdiction in the UK. In one clip she was in a post office showing letters she was mailing off to Scotland Yard, the European Human Rights Commission, the BBC and various other agencies to complain of intimidation by the Thai authorities. Although she is far less sophisticated and articulate, her stance is hardly different from people like Paul Handley, MacGregor Marshall and Giles Ungaporn who have chosen to express their view for better or for worse and never return to Thailand. However, unlike those more illustrious names, her story would have remained in obscurity, if her no one had got around to filing a case against her. She probably has a English husband who can't understand Thai and doesn't have much idea what she's on about but must realise they can't go to Thailand on holiday. Dogmatix
So she was willing to sacrifice being able to come to Thailand and eat all the delicious foods just so she could speak her mind about the monarchy? Does not seem like a fair trade off. There's delicious food aplenty in the UK. I'm sure she'll enjoy it immensely while enjoying her civil freedoms and liberties while not being bound to a restrictive archaic social system and structure. So then why aren't you in the UK? Perhaps he is, but you must remember UK folk can say what they/we like, well near enough, without someone wanting to cut our head off, or hung from a lamp post.............. Actually the truth is that the British courts have got themselves a bad name for hearing libel cases that have nothing really to do with the UK, except that the publications or websites involved could be read in the UK. Many foreign celebrities sue foreign publications in the UK because lawyers advise them they have a better chance of the case being heard and getting higher damages awarded than if they were to sue in the country where the libel actually took place. Personally I disagree strongly with this money grubbing approach of the UK courts which is extremely lucrative for British lawyers. However, the difference is that there is no criminal libel and all cases have to be brought by the plaintiffs themselves. paz
You are correct. The British regime now routinely persecutes citizens for breaking the artificial taboos of its imposed multicultural order. Whilst it is still permissible to criticise royalty, a raft of political thought-crimes legislation has passed on to the statue books since Tony Blair was elected in 1997 and British citizens have found themselves in court, and sometimes in jail for many years, for being caught being stridently critical of: Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, feminists, non-whites or mass-immigration. Royals are still naturally popular amongst the indigenous though and so, representing the historical link between past and present, they are still fair game in the minds of the treacherous cosmopolitans who've slyly captured us in their cage of social-engineering legislation. As you say, Assange and Snowden are also examples of what happens when anyone exposes how these creatures operate. Thailand certainly has problems, and Thais are clearly indoctrinated in the mythology of the-one-we-cannot-criticise, but the globalists have created an extremely illiberal mess in the West. A clash of civilisations, to coin Samuel Huntington's phrase. Having said that, two wrongs don't make a right, Thailand's "lesse majeste" laws do look ridiculous from here and I'm glad that a Thai managed to develop her own mind on the matter. Congratulations to her. Best piece of eloquent, deviant misinterpretation and pile of nonsensical prose I've read in long time.
