Can you get a 60 day visa from within Los ?

Or anything else similar ?

My retirement is due on 14 June, we are leaving around the 15th July, most likely cannot leave earlier, but will more than likely be in that 3rd week of July some time.

So, thinking to just get something to tide me over, do not want to go to Immi office again for just 1 week or whatever.

If just a coupla days...might overstay, me and my son in the bad boys office on the way outa town....make a nice departing photo.

But should do it right, if convenient.

Unless you apply for another one year extension the only one available is the 7 day extension. The 60 day extension is to visit a Thai wife or child.

If you are from a G7 country you could make a border run and get a 30 day entry. If not then 15 days.

At 500 baht a day for overstay it does not take long for it to be enough to pay for a border run. Plus the risk of getting caught with an overstay.

You didn't mention that before.

You can get the 60 day extension. Your wife needs to go with you. Have marriage certificate, her house book and ID card. Plus copies of your passport pages and TM6 departure card,

I have a Filipino friend coming to visit me in Thailand. He will have a Tourist Visa good for 60 days. If, within his 60 day visit, he leaves Thailand, and then wants to return to Thailand, still within the 60 days, does he need a reentry permit, or does he get in just on the strength of his tourist visa? Or, heaven forbid, is his tourist visa cancelled upon leaving and getting back in he gets only the visa exempt 15 or 30 days permission to stay?

They can get a re-entry permit (1000 baht) that would keep the 60 day permit to stay valid. On re-entry they would get the remaining days for the entry it adds no additional days. Then they could get the 30 extension at immigration a couple of weeks before the 60 days end.

With no re-entry permit they would get a 15 day entry by land or 30 days by air.
