Is the start of some sort of new Michelin Travel and lifestyle guide?

More of a regional price check mate.

Checking if prices vary much between regions and areas with common 711's.

With something most can relate to.(or 3)

Care to add?...thumbsup.gif

How much is a can of Cheers beer these days at the local shop or 7/11?

Blue or red?

I buy the red ones and they cost 46B in all 7/11s I've seen in the Pattaya area, or 86B for promo packs of two. Places like mini-Tesco and mini-BigC charge about 44/45B though it varies, and the larger supermarkets like Tops and big Tesco charge around 42B per can (all chilled).

Of course for home use I generally just buy at Makro or Tesco who do packs of 12 cans for 465B (38.75B/can).

Blue is a couple of Baht cheaper but contains less alcohol, so what's the point?

Towns only 7/11 - 34 Baht. Used to have a deal with the old girl at ma/pop shop, 6 cans for 200 Baht, stopped now so back to 35 Baht.

Army barracks golf club 39 Baht. Phetchabun province (south).

Large bottle of Leo, range 65 to 100 Baht.

Leo still King of Thai beers.

Have been enjoying Carlsberg recently, but the recyclers dont want to take the bottles back,or at least they won't pay you for them, which left the missus a bit dissapointed.

Tend to buy the twin packs of Heineken in 7-11 or the triple in Big C @ 199 Bt (for 3 )...66 bt each but our recycle programme justs extends to using them as re inforcement within the concrete supports and crossbeams of a wall that we are building around the hoose.......

Need to buy a lot more beer....should take another year...or 2....

Slow days are few and far between. Although now it's 6pm and I am relaxing with a coffee.

The idea came from talking with some friends about beer prices, and since theres members here spread out all over thailand, it's an easy way of price checking. Interesting country prices are more often cheaper than city prices.

If you rather chat about bum guns we can?
