Pattaya police intervene to stop violence as Kuwaiti tourists clash
"The confrontation threatened to turn violent." "Another resident also captured video footage of the altercation, showing the groups attempting to physically attack each other." Sounds like handbags at 20 paces -

Mass Arrests Follow Violent Far-Right Demonstrations Across the UK
Well done. They have found a video from 10 years ago. Here is one more recently (yesterday in fact) of a Labour councillor inciting violence by calling for white people to have their throats slit. Thankfully I have been reliably informed by the Prime Minister that we do not have 2 tier policing in the UK so it shouldn't be long before he is remanded in custody and facing a judge before being given an extremely harsh sentence for the incitement of violence. -

Crackdown on Illegal Herbal Shops in Pattaya: Foreign Employees Apprehended
Odd that The Pattaya Indian Community Association reported these shops, when all I hear is that it is Indians or SE Asians selling the stuff on the street. Competition? -

Vance calls out Harris
Pence was hopeless in 2020. Vance has started the assault with nothing to lose as Trump gets blame if they lose. At 40yo lots of energy. Rip the wokes a new one each day. The guy is a winner. Walz is a loser. -

Is intestinal worms a myth?
Yes - Doctor @Lorry is spot on again. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 24 percent of the world’s population is infected with soil-transmitted worms. Infections are most common in tropical and subtropical regions, in particular, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Americas, China, and East Asia. Source: Healthline and WHO Well there ya go Doctor Lorry - more nonsense from the World Health Organization. Intestinal worms has nothing to do with tropical regions. it's just dirty brown people who live in those regions in your opinion, right Doctor? Dude - your opinion reeks of racial prejudice. I find it offensive. Just letting you know. -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
Thanks for the links. As you say the research conducted by Pew contains no data about Belgium specifically, so it is basically irrelevant. Wrt the Brussels Times' link. Imo a wavering in support amongst the general public two years into a conflict is hardly surprising. The view amongst the Belgium public is consistent with the wider EU public opinion, so I'm not sure why you single out Belgium? Belgium's conduct in the Congo was shameful, but unless you believe that there is something in the Belgian pysche that lends itself to colonialism and sadistic behaviour, it has no relevant to the Belgium's role in the current Ukraine conflict. Unfortunately, the PVDA has a small number of unreconstructed Stalinists within its' ranks, so their support for Russia is hardly a surprise: Without wishing to sound like an apologist for Vlangs Belang - a party I abhor - their leadership has condemned and distanced itself from Russia since the invasion. So far as financial support from Belgium for Ukraine is concerned, the unimaginative titled 'Belgium -Ukraine' fund stands at €1.4 billion and the Belgium government passed a bill in March authorising €400m in military aid to Ukraine. (Note: The link which I have is in French so cannot be posted. A search of 'Le Soir (Belgium)' should uncover relevant details). Far from wavering in its' support for Ukraine, the Belgium government and public have remained as steadfast as others in the EU. -

Vance calls out Harris
It's persuasive because it's true. I don't buy this whole "cultural buzz" argument with Harris. We all knew cultural icons from Beyonce, Swift, de Niro, etc would endorse her, pop stars say she's "brat". What does that all mean, apart from democrats celebrating themselves? How does that win votes in Pennsylvania or Illinois? Meanwhile Vance and Trump continue to speak to raw emotion, nationalism. I would not put money on Harris.- 1

Mass Arrests Follow Violent Far-Right Demonstrations Across the UK
This is the UK’s Kristallnacht….. Mobs of Hitler Youth attacked Jews in their homes Jewish homes, hospitals, and schools were ransacked, and businesses were destroyed and often looted. The violence did not end until the afternoon of November 10, but riots continued in some places for several days. It was a campaign against Jews carried out by the Nazi paramilitary forces along with some participation from the Hitler Youth German civilians throughout Nazi Germany on 9–10 November 1938. The euphemistic name Kristallnacht comes from the shards of broken glass that littered the streets after the windows of Jewish-owned stores, buildings, and synagogues were smashed. (See the parallel?) The pretext for the attacks was the assassination of a German diplomat by Herschel Grynszpan, a 17 YEAR OLD German-born Polish Jew living in Paris Any bells ringing now? Just take out the word “Jew” and put in “Muslim”…. Jewish homes, hospitals and schools were ransacked as attackers demolished buildings with sledgehammers. Rioters destroyed synagogues throughout Germany, Austria, and the Sudetenland Over 7,000 Jewish businesses were damaged or destroyed. The authorities and people did nothing. In the UK the authorities are timid but the “anti-protestors have shown up in numbers totally dwarfing the far right gangs. -

The Tim Walz thread.
The retirement occurred before he first ran for congress. It was known guard units could be deployed but he had no knowledge that his specific unit was going to be deployed. 24 years service before deciding to try to be a congressman sounds like it was more than enough. Incredibly admirable actually. Yes the sleazeball maga fascists are trying to SWIFT boat him. A few problems with that. He didn't do anything wrong. He's running for VP, not the top of the ticket. Vance is the one that has been bought by billionaires and is a total phony. Not Walz who is as authentic as it gets.- 2

The Tim Walz thread.
No, he put in his resignation last my before he had any idea his unit was being called up. Your’re denigrating a man who served for 24 years and probably supporting a draft dodger who paid off a doctor to lie and say he had bone spurs so he could get out of military service ? Weird morals you’ve got.- 1
