Thai Airways investigates internet idol's theft of life vest

More fuss over this than the millions missing that could have been collected from the free seat fraternity. Should have on camera the first and business class VIPs who didn't pay for their seats.

Now this the final nail into the billions lost.-amazing

It's not only Thai that does that, every airline does for certain types of passenger, officially, and there are allowances for the practice in their books, so there is nothing "missing" as a result of that policy. Have those relatively few complimentary seats really cost the airline "billions" as you state?

There should be a fuss about the theft of a life-saving device from an aircraft, if it was missing from your seat and the plane went down you'd be fussing then.

oh well , the staff of Thai airways stole my belongings in my latest flight from Europe .....so nothing new ..... coffee1.gif or maybe thai airways want to blame those for the huge loss in profit they had lately ? I was the last to leave the aircraft last week and forgot 3 pictures bought in Europe , in a paper tube in the cabin lock .... when I called TG they said WE found nothing ..... I replied NO you stole my pictures .... and still waiting for the reply to my email which will never come ..... so I have only one word : som namna

On the other hand, a mate of mine left his iPhone 5 on his Business Class seat recently when he left the plane at Bangkok. 3 days later he phoned Thai and was told it had been handed in and he could collect it from lost and found.

lemme guess... another white skinned gal with bambi eyes and the IQ of a fart posting selfies nonstop on the intellectual vaccuum known as facebook...

cannot be bothered to look her up on google.

But ones suspects you would still give her one if the opportunity presented itself ?

Good thing she posted it on the internet, so Thai airways realised that the life jacket was missing.

Otherwise........no chance of it.blink.png

I think you'll find that you're wrong there, again. Pre-flight checks include checking the availability of safety devices as a matter of course.

Having a dig at me rather than the airline.

WRONG, the life saving device is a part that is checked/ replaced before every flight---make a fuss Joke.

WRONG, Quote " relatively few complementary seats given" JOKE.

Why you dig at me for the sake of it, when your post states this, check before posting, as to how many seats are given free to vip. ?? you said few so how many ??

The life jacket loss you make sound life threatening. NORMAL procedure replace if missing prior to every flight. life threat ????

If I was like you and didn't re check before take off makes me careless.--------OTT without thought. is your post.

your post previous contradicts this post--you said they check prior ---crazy. LOOK at post #31 and #34-----

You say that now but if it was the vest under your seat your tune would changr when you had to grab for it

Sent from my GT-S5310 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

NO with Thai, after every flight this should be standard practice to check for these emergency items. OK.

So why do you post like this--did you forget standard procedures ??? My main point you missed for some reason.

They are checked and replaced if necessary. Just because this one didn't make the news as a stolen item doesn't mean the airline wasn't aware of it's disappearance.

As regards your "main point", the only point your post made was about missing millions, which escalated into billions by the end of your post.

And what can do with it?

You told me it mattered about the missing life belt, as if the plane went down and it was my seat I wouldn't be happy??

Then on the other thread you said they are checked, and I posted that fact, so if they are checked why would I find mine missing ??

The billions I referred to were Thais crazy losses, not helping this is part due to the freebies given out annually--mostly first and business--well known fact-up and above say BA or a.n. other

You see if I were TG's Comms Department I would have said.

"With regards to incident...., it is unfortunate that if true, a member of the flying public would take a life vest from one of our aircraft. Like all safety apparatus installed on our fleet, they are intended to be used in case of an emergency for the benefit of passengers and crew. While we will replace the missing life vest, we only hope that this action will not encourage others to do something similar and potentially causing danger to fellow passengers...."

something to that effect.

Why not have a dig at you when you're talking almost unintelligible gobble-dee-gook. Are you on the sauce this afternoon?

"...as to how many seats are given free to vip. ?? you said few so how many ??"

If we're talking about complimentary seats, 47, I believe, over the airline's last 12 month accounting period, (I'm not sure what the figures are for the complementary seats you refer to). I'm sure you'll correct me, in capitals, if I'm wrong.

Go on, crack open another one and hit CapsLk.

That would have been a hypothetical situation, obviously, as they are checked.

Well-known fact, by whom?

Your answer is a joke, You believe Thai over this last accounting year have only given out 47 seats. ???

the other part where you contradicted yourself you didn't mention --you never change over the months, have these type of run ins with so many posters.

Re cap---stolen life jacked replaced prior to every flight--my words. (no gobble dee gook there )

please show me proof of ALL free seats given over the last year, 99.9% of posters will tell you more than 47 were given out. (no gobble dee gook there)

Now you go and get a brandy coffee for winding posters up.

I certainly hope their pre-flight checks for safety devices are superior to the pri-flight checks for the police cadets parachute drill.

You're an intelligent man, go and check yourself, just like I did. If 99.9% of posters did say that they'd be wrong, but they haven't, that's just you pulling an unimaginative percentage out of the air.

"Now you go and get a brandy coffee for winding posters up."

That's original.

You'll have to excuse me now, I've got to go and watch some paint dry.

All the Thai Airways topics over the last years about management woes, etc., and losses of billions of baht, the recent one confirmed that.

Over the years most posters have said if they lowered their fares to more competitive, therefore more passengers+ revenue generated AND stopped the massive amounts of free seats to VIP--Armed forces VIP -government employees, there would be better figures emerging.

If you contradict the last 4 years of posts/topics your a loner.

Get some good expensive paint it dries quick these days don't be a cheap Charlie.thumbsup.gif

Yeah, I mean those life jackets could save you life if the plane goes down in the sea...just ask the people on MH370.

Too soon?

At least it's a goal for THAI nobody ever tried to steal the catering packages.

I knew a guy who travelled Thai for years that every flight took the cutlery, dishes that was served and the Blanket, off the plane on arrival.

Over 20 years stocked a guest house.

Oh I forgot the head phones and pillows.--but as in many business establishments they add on % to the price to cover stolen articles.

A very well known hotel in London had to do this as their bits became collectors items.

Hudson River was a good example though.

'Internet idol" or attention-seeking idiot?

there are NO internet idols from thailand. Thais like actors who cant act. so maybe "Thai Airways investigates untalented actress's theft of life vest"

I dont know who she is, and ALL my friends have no idea who she is. ... and my favorite papparazzi web page ... dont even have her listed as anything. so therefore she is only something to noone important.

THE END.
