Stoning in this day and age? Should be condemned along with other forms of torture like waterboarding which some countries practice.

There is no equivalence. Stoning is meant to torture and KILL. Waterboarding is torture but for extreme interrogation. Not condoning waterboarding but find the attempt to suggest an equivalence quite sleazy.
