Hello! Did anyone have any experience with paintings export?

We want to buy 5-6 paintings (neutral theme, no Buddha image) for our friends and leave Thailand from Suvarnabhumi airport.

Think to take it off the canvas and use a tubus to put it to suitcase.

But we're afraid of problems with customs... Any recommendations?

Thank you in advance!

Doubt that you would have any customs worries but I suggest rolling them up into a tube to prevent damage. Whether or not they will fit into your suitcase would of course depend on the size of the largest painting

I have brought all my artwork to Thailand using tubes, since having paintings framed here is so inexpensive. When you arrive in your home country IF they require a customs form, just state "art work, unframed" and the value

We did the same thing heading back to Australia.

No problems at all. Because they were too big to fit in the suitcase, they get checked in, then you take them to another check in place for fragile and oversize etc articles.
