Turns out I may be here in BKK for a while more. Can my brother can ship my prescriptions to me here? If so what is the best way. USPS, UPS, FEDEX ? Also what should he state on the Customs Form to avoid any delay or seizure. The bottles will be addressed to me with my name on them. Thank you in advance for any advice you have. Cheers.

USPS only, never use a courier -- guarantees customs problems.

Limit it to a small quantity and label as "medication (generic name) for personal use". Be sure that none of the contents are controlled substances.

Even so, need to be aware that technically you are not allowed to import medications, only to bring them in as accompanied baggage (and only a 30 day supply at a time). When sent regular post, and obviously a small amount, customs often lets it through, but no guarantee this will happen. (I can guarantee it will NOT happen if it comes via FedEx or the like, thoughwink.png )

You might want to be sure these aren't drugs you could just buy here over the counter as many prescription drugs in the West can be bought without script here, often in inexpensive generic equivalent. May cost less that the postage of mailing from the US. If you list what these emds are, can let you know for sure.

Does he mean with prescriptions the tablets or the doctors papers to get them?

For the actual pills I agree! If he means the doctors prescription (document), I would say just buy it without prescription....This is Thailand noone cares.

(Sheryl: I hope I don;t make you angry but it is the easiest way)

Thank you for the replys.

The prescriptions are non-narcotic. They are for a chronic condition. I am able to afford generic alternatives here, but one them is made in India and gives me horrible side effects. My next effort will be convincing my U.S. based Doctor to refill them without seeing me in person.

Thank you again for your assistance.
