The 13th is a religious holiday, Vesak, so alcohol sales are officially banned. However, you should have little problem finding alcohol sold under the counter.

Maybe take a day off the piss?

Helander,

Stockup your chiller box with beer, ice will still be available tuesday, go to a quiet beach and have a nice beach beer!

Some of the bars loosely affiliated with hotels were open, and serving alcohol, on Sukhumvit Soi 4 as of 11:30 AM today when I drove by: Golden Bar (Nana Hotel), YouThere and Hillary 1 (Raja Hotel car park) were I few I noticed. Most others were shuttered.
