Just crossed from Vientiane to Nong Khai. Asked about this new directive to stop border bounces.

Guy at immigration told me it is aimed at Koreans. When I asked why he said that Thais are being turned away by Korean authorities when they arrive despite there being a visa free arrangement.

So this appears to be retaliation.

For Nong Khai at least, he said they don't have any issues with 'pwuak Euro's' .

So that is the latest as of 10 mins ago.
