Red-shirt leader faces complaint for refusing to pay locals bribes

Why is this news? Possibly because in the past they have made good on their bribes. Cash strapped this time. Also their organization is in disarray. Buying votes, or more recently protesters is deeply ingrained in Thai culture. This system is continually defended as democracy. Somehow it differs from my perception of true democracy. This is much more theatrical. Not heart felt.

I think the difference this time is they are spending a lot of wasted money trying to raise an army of 600,000 and arm them all.wai.gif

When there's no money left to pay for guards, thugs, mobs, protesters and assassins, there will be about 100 people left on each side arguing in a big room over what they think is left to fight over. I think it's called the Houses of Parliament.

Like @Valvenus stated, check out the Bkk Post breaking news section. I am not condoning the abuses by the PDRC guards. I'd hope all TVF members agree to condemn the violence from both sides, including all M79 attacks, children killed, reporters intimidated etc.

1. Both sides are stupid

2. Any farang who believes that side one is "right" and one side is "wrong" in this clusterf#ck is also stupid

Agree 150%

Yes Chooka. Any allegation by a TVF Poster against the reds has to be followed up by a post from a red troll that says "but Suthep doe it too." It was your lucky day today, was it? 150% Wow! That is impossible & stupid!

Stop cluttering up my clear, concise post with your inane babble.

I'll be interested to see how many of the usual Thai Rouge TVF members will come out and call this minor actor "scum" like they always do when the PDRC guards go berserk.

That sort of Red Shirt physical abuse continues today with Channel 7 news reporter Tomchan Boonsai pressing charges against the Red Shirts for assaulting him when he went to cover this thread's story

More info in Breaking News section of the other paper we can't link.

Beaten up by a mob waiting at the police station, Amazing Thailand!

they are fake reds shirts and they where planted by Suthep to undermine "democracy"

thanks for that, and by the fact you put democracy in inverted comma's suggested to me that you are indicating that the reds are not really a democratic organization or trying to maintain true democratic principles ?

It nice to see a rabid red finally admitting that Thailand under the PTP is not a true democracy, you may come to your senses yet...but well done none the less...

He's copied and pasted your post you numpty!

Yellows don't get paid, no way Jose.... but wait, they were paying 800b a day in my locale a few months ago, picking people up in pick-ups and heading for Suthep's Walks for Fascism Reform, and offering it to all and sundry.

whistling.gif

Could we see some real proof of that ?

Strange no stories of that in the news but the reds all the time with stuff like this.

So either it does not happen with the yellows or it happened many many more times with the reds why it gets discovered more.

Either way reds are nothing more then rent a mob while the yellows pay for pleasure to protest really stand behind their choice and ideology.

"Strange no stories of that in the news but the reds all the time with stuff like this."

I hope you're joking because if you aren't, you have not been paying attention. They've paid much more to the yellows in Phuket in the past.

Is not a bribe if its above board hiring like that. Bribes are done under the table.......just saying......

Exactly! it's expenses, but it no use trying to explain that to the fascists on here, they're way too bitter and twisted.

Can you please tell where to collect the money? My stupid staff + wife always DONATE money as the obviously don't know that they should collect money.

And wait, all the time Suthep is marching thousands of people are giving him money, not collecting it. Maybe they are also confused?

When the Shinawatras are in power there will be always money for the red thugs.

Its just a rent of mob nothing more and obviously finances are getting low or they are just real cheap and cheat their own followers.

I doubt paid followers can be classed as 'followers'.

They are just random folk who are broke with sod all to do and see an easy 1000 baht and a free meal and bus trip to BKK.

Without the 1000 baht and the added perks, I wonder exactly how many 'followers' that would bother their ar-ses to go and support this bunch of losers.... Maybe 10% of them???

One million reds will RISE up........if................. hahaha

I can just imagine it... Jatts: 'The time has come for all lovers of Thaksin to rise up against the elites'........ Reply..... How much?????

In November, youngsters in the YELLOW UnDemocrat stronghold of Surat Thani, home of Duce Suthep, get an offer of 1'500 Baht per day to join the Whistle Mob rally in Bangkok. Half of my village was emoty for 3 days after that offer.

Me the village farang and the Burmese workers and some thais were left behind.

Truly amazing Thailand. Now that the whole region is prosperous thanks to the governments rice pledging scheme I am surprised that they still want to sell their souls and the soul of their nation for bt1000. Why can't the red shirt leader be named? Name em and shame em I say!

Once the word gets out, the people will want their money 'up front'. Thaksin is being ripped off by his own UDD operatives and he has no fall-back organization. Thaksin if finding out just how tough it is to be a 'long-distance' dictator. I haven't seen any good news for the Thaksin camp in many months. Thaksin cannot be sleeping well these nights and he is probably developing stomach ulcers from stress and worry. He's being let down and betrayed at every turn and the country is nearly united in its commitment to his permanent retirement from involvement in policy. He must be one hell of an optimist to continue his efforts to regain power and legitimacy.

And additionally he no doubt thought he was clever to install his sister as his puppet.

End result she's been removed by a court and very likely faces further and even more serious charges.

And it was mentioned recently that he her husband has left her.

Some nice loving big brother indeed.

It would be very interesting to know what their personal relationship is right now.

Rubbish! Both sides are paying for their renta-mobs and the daily rate seems to be around Bt.1,000 per day plus transport (Bus). A group of about 20 women from my wife's village were paid to attend Sutheps gatherings a few weeks ago. Got to BKK, received their attendance money, and were then refused the money for the fare home again. So for all those claiming this is a red-only activity.....sorry, you're wrong! They're as bad as each other.

proof please
no proof - no truth, just rhetoric

Anyone who doesn't know that both sides pay members of their rallies is delusional. Go milk something...

+1

When raising the minimum wage, Thaksin might not have considered it would cost his rent-a-mob costs to skyrocket.

He can't be a happy man.

This is actually one of the most stupid things the reds could do, maybe next time red shirt will doubt they get paid to vote too.

Its starting to become a theme with the PTP not paying farmers.. not paying their rent a mob.

Now if the reds start to understand that they might not get paid they might vote sensibly instead of vote for money.

No you get it wrong...it is very smart.....

Mr. Red Shirt leader 3rd level must bring 5000 people and get 2.500.000 Millions (1000 Baht per person minus what the 2nd level leader cheated him.

So he brings 1000 people and put the rest in his pocket...but of course also the 4th level leaders are cheating him.

Everyone sees that the regime is falling so everyone tries to max. out what they can get into their pockets for the short remaining time.

So not a stupid thing from the leaders.....some smart thing from the underlings.

Pyramid scheme.

It doesn't take watching Blue Sky long to see that people at the PDRC rally's are inundating Suthep with donations, instead of lining up with their hands out.

This is perhaps the most clear indication that Thaksin will ultimately fail. As he has screwed the very people that supported him, he must pay more and more to get them to join his rallies; a year ago it was only 500, now is 1,000 THB. Even his "supporters" know he's on his heals.

Those of you who scoffed at Jutaporn when he said no one was paid to attend the red rallies now owe him an apology.

It seems he was right, people are only promised payment then don't get paid.
