Could someone please advise me on what the requirements for my Thai girlfriend is if she wants to come and visit me in South Africa? For 3 weeks or so.

Visa not required for a max. stay of 30 days, provided coming for touristic or business purposes.

Visitor must hold:

- documents and ticket required for next destination; and

- sufficient funds.

Non-compliance with entry regulations will result in fines for passenger and refusal of entry. Transporting carrier will be fined ZAR 10,000.- and delays are involved.

Nationals of South Africa holding dual nationality are required to enter and leave South Africa using their South African passport.
