Hi,

there are any number of rental companies, just take a walk along Moon Mung and Soi's 1 & 2 and along the road between Moon Mung Soi 1 and Tiger Kingdom or around Thapae Gate. Also, there are at least 4 rental companies inside Chiang Mai airport and there are people advertising car rentls on this site (you might have to scroll down quite a long way).

I'm not sure if by "reasonable", you mean "cheap", but as with everything "you gets what you pay for". Remember that when you hire the car to look closely for scratches and damge and make sure they're noted (and take photos) and check the condition of the tyres.

15,000 baht for a month from Avis . 500 baht a day!

I rented Nissan Micro on Koh Samui in a high season for 10000 THB month. Since Koh Samui is considered the most expensive place in Thailand I hope to find a car for 10000 thb a month no more. I don't mind renting a car with manual gearbox. The question is whether it is possible to find anything for that price or not?

it sounds good. But i didn,t see that ad. Where can I find this offer?

Avis were offering $9999 a month, for a manual Vios, with 8000 Baht insurance excess.
Pretty good deal from a reputable company!

C'mon man, get real, you gotta do a little bit of leg work yourself. Here's a thought, why not Google "Avis, Chiang Mai" and get a phone number and call them or, drop into the Avis desk at CM Airport....

I've just looked at rental for 10 days and got a bl@#dy ridiculous price (>10k Bht) that I would expect to pay in the UK or Ireland where I usually rent. I used the rental page on Thaivisa...what a joke w00t.gif

Marseniy, did you manage to get a good deal?
