Does anybody follow the Thai Premier League. I'd like to go to a game on my next visit

and wondered if it's any good. I usually visit in Jan/Feb and wondereing when the season runs

and any chance to catch a game then.

Thank ToneG

You might be out of luck. Season is normally March to October. You might catch games at the end of Feb though.

Thanks for that. I thought that might be the case don't want to run the risk of a holiday in the rain

so probably have to give it a miss then. Maybe Feb for a pre-season friendly could be the way.

This season started on 22/23 February. I'm not sure what will happen next season - I think the Premier League is being reduced from the current 20 teams to 18 (5 relegated and only 3 promoted). Obviously the number of games will also be reduced (from 38 to 34).

Thanks for the replies. looks like end Feb/Mar, don't know if I can wait that long for a return trip.

Have to find a good Chelsea pub and enjoy the English Premier league.

You won't find one of these in Thailand, lol

But you will usually find a quite a few Chelsea fans in Witherspoons (sic) on Soi Bukhao in Pattaya (amongst fans of many other teams).

I've not mentioned it before but I did come across an Arsenal bar in the backstreets of Hua Hin (Brit Arsenal fan, who made regular visits back to the UK to go to the Emirates). Haven't been back to HH for 3 years so may not still be there.

Yes The Londoner in HH is run by a Chelsea fan met him a couple of times. Haven't found many Chelsea fans in BKK

but usually only stay there for the weekend in and around Suk. Chelsea doing lots of pre-season tours in Thailand and

Singha is their beer sponsors getting more popular with Thais. See lots of them wearing Chelsea shirts now as opposed to the old favourites Liverpool and Man Utd.

The season usually runs from February to October/November. However, most clubs will play pre season fixtures in January and there'll be the odd four team tournament..

Here's this year's Chonburi fixture list, as a guide to how the calendar will probably look in 2015.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for that info. Looks like cup games early. Could catch one of those by holidaying end Jan/early Feb.
