TrueVisions Refund?

Featured Replies

So, (now don't laugh!)

Do you think TrueVisions will be helpful and provide refunds for those subscribers (like me) now getting no service (apart from the Military's songs etc.)? Or should I just cancel my subscription?

If 83 baht is important to you, cancel it and save even more.

Doubt it, as the blackout is not due to them, probably claim force majeure

But you could ask.

I'd cancel it and when everything is back to normal next week you can always have it re-installed and pay another deposit, as your current deposit will be returned in 2 months or more.

I think I pay around THB2,550 a month which works out to be around THB 85 a day, bad me guessed it was THB 83!

actually its thb 83.83 so you were nearly right.good viewing????

I think a civil suit is in order to reclaim your lost funds.

It is possible that they may mention the army cut off the viewing so perhaps you could try them!

My service was out for almost a week due to no fault of my own, but the fault of TrueVisions. After service was restored, I went to their office about a refund.

Reaction from staff?

Good luck, O Innocent One.

or more...yes significant words. When we cancelled TRUE and went to CTH last August it took 111 days to get the refund of our 2,000 baht deposit and then 3 days for the bank to clear the cheque.

I don't quite understand what's going on .Our second set is through IPM we are still getting Channel News Asia, with reporters live on the ground in Bangkok.Yet over on CTH its like every other station gonzo.

Just been announced, on the paper web site we cant mention, that Ch's 3,5,7,9 and 11 will be back on air tonight. Not a mention of TRUE,CTH etc but sure they wont be long following suit ,so the non viewing drama,it seems, is coming to an end !

I know you said don't laugh, but it isn't easy. I was belly-aching earlier, but I'm down to a titter now. Hopefully it'll only be a smirk by the time I go to play tennis.

We were lucky, they quoted 45 days and the CQ turned up within 30.

BTW, IPM is great, we got the HD box and installer used a True Sat dish as they're better receivers 555 4,800Bt and no ongoing fees! Thanks for the info.

Talked to True this afternoon. Response? hummmmm nothing wrong here. Where do you live? LOL

Added to no-world-cup, enough.

But a suggestion to people wanting to cancel - WAIT. Let nature run it';s course (don't cancel - just don;t pay. They will wait 2 months to kill your subscription - that more than covers the deposit you will never get back anyway.

Refund, yeah right.. like trying to get a refund from a hoe.. ;)

Yes ???? You rang ????

Try UBC channels 59, 60 & 61.

Right now Visit of Thai King & Queen to New Zealand.

Early 60's I estimate.

Yesterday afternoon we had their visit to Chiang Mai and the North.

Once again late 50's or early 60's would be my estimate.

Wats Suan Dork, Cheid Luang and Phra Sing visited.

Many schools, hospitals and trips to Hang Dong and San Patong.

Driven around in a large Benz of a model I have seen before.

Crowds going wild with admiration, Elderly and children all but fighting to kiss the Royal feet.

All roads out of town where unmetaled bake hard dirt. Trips to several waterfalls and irrigation projects.

'How's your life in Thailand?'

'Oh, it's OK, except for all the terrible inconveniences with all the people who insist on speaking Thai, and the awful drivers and the weather and the difficulties in getting a decent pint of bitter or a real quality pizza - and sometimes even TV is suspended for a whole 40 hours.'

Jeez, guys, get a life.

No Watney's Red Barrel or a decent cup of tea either.

Yes well I'm on gold at some 1600/month. --- 36 hrs will see about 75 Baht of litigation from my part! Was worth it watching TW going through the withdrawal pains of not seeing any soap!

What was really interesting when all the TV stations went dead, was the sheer panic of many posters across the country. I didn't realise until that happened that there were so many with wives/gf, who appear to just be couch princesses, who sit in front of the TV day and night and many male partners who were simply terrified of the consequences should the princess be denied her TV for too long. That and the fact they probably had to find some way of communicating, something never before considered. Phew, thankfully for them it didn't last too long, but what a scare. wink.png
