PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Thursday two Indian Tourists reported a suspected case of drugging and robbery to Investigators at Pattaya Police Station.

Mr. Baldev Raj aged 54 and Mr. Deepak Kumar aged 41 told Police that they were staying at the Bella Express Hotel off the Central Pattaya Road. On the night of 4th June they had gone to the Hotel restaurant and planned to return to their room after their meal.

Inside the restaurant they were approached by two Thai women who sat and drank with them for a while and suggested they could join them inside their room and for an agreed fee could offer them sexual services. The two men agreed and took the women to their room.

The drinking continued inside the room and they consumed copious amounts of Beer. One of the victims did notice that one of the women was placing something inside the cans of beer but it was too late and the two men were rendered unconscious.

if you see someone putting something in your drink then why drink it? It was never to late to refuse to drink it.

Police later inspected the room and found used condoms and many cans of beer which were taken away for analysis.

No drugs in the beer, but condoms were too tight restricting blood supply to the brain.

I wish they would post what the "agreed amount" was, 200 baht?

I also wonder about the stolen amounts, it's usually 50k

You forgot the 300K gold necklace. Each.

They are lucky not having been raped and maybe more...giggle.gif

I think they would have been quite happy if they'd had a bit of LB anal action. The used condoms might just confirm that they got to be the letterbox, for the postman

I can't imagine the need to keep 100,000 Baht in a hotel room.

Were they just trying to avoid the 180 Baht ATM fees by bringing it all in cash?

Those two LB's must have thoroughly ' tossed' everything in that room to find all that hidden stash.

The oldest trick in the book, lure and bait, and those Indian guys are falling for it every time,

this is what happened when you think with the little head rather than the big head........

CCTV at hotel? Maybe the girls, er boys, whatever.... told them they were getting free viagra in the beers? If they were smart (which is bit stretch, these guys weren't) could give the dosed beer to the girls and open a new one for self. New variation on old switcheroo.

just as he noticed, the blood ran from his big head to his little head, and thinking became impossible...

Yes in dollars, plus an Iphone and a gold chain.

after the Russian bashing , after the Chinese bashing .... now the Indian bashing ... pathetic comments ...

Give us a break. The Indians have been making targets of themselves for years. The others are relatively recent arivals on the bashing scene.

The knockers of TV take aim equally, if someone does something stupid and gets in the press them and their compatriots are fair game. There is no bias, everyone gets it.

The amount stolen usually should depend on the coverage of their travel insurance

Why are these hotels not demanding Thai I.D cards, which can only be returned when they are with the customer, showing that everything is OK?

Indeed. Any knobhead will get plenty of grief here, nationality is not an issue. And yes, Indians do feature quite prominently when it come to picking up shady "girls" and ending up robbed. And yes, Indians do seem to have rather large amounts of cash, plus a couple of Rolexes and gold necklaces, when it does happen.

That's rich from someone who uses every opportunity to bash Pattaya and it's inhabitants!

They probably hadn't noticed the previous cans being spiked, that was why it was too late.
