June 7, 201411 yr Is there anyone who have experience with their retirement extension done as long as a month before it expire? Thanks Felt
June 7, 201411 yr BTW There is no penalty for early processing. The date will go forward as to your expiry date.
June 8, 201411 yr yep a month in advance no problem, heading in tomorrow :-) hope its the same as last year, in and out in 15 minutes.
June 8, 201411 yr As a matter of interest does anyone know how far in advance you can get the extension? Mine falls in mid December and as you can imagine a this is a pretty busy time in the Immigration Office so would love to bring it forward at least a couple of months. Losing a few months of extension monies pales into insignificance compared to the mad house of December renewals.
June 8, 201411 yr Whenever I have asked the Phuket office have always said a maximum of 30 days in advance. Must say I have never tried to apply any earlier that the 30 days. I suppose if you had an urgent requirement then maybe they would consider it.
June 8, 201411 yr a friend of mine does his about 6 weeks in advance cause he needs be out of the country when it is due, ( Bangkok) he always needs take his flight ticket showing when he is leaving
June 9, 201411 yr They will do it now as long as 45 day before the expire date. But i have to admit that not all the officers are willing to do it this early in every case. But if you have a good reason (flights etc ) it should not be a problem.
