Hi Guys,

it might be still a bit early for this but any suggestions yet for the player / goalkeeper of this years World Cup? I doubt it's gonna be Oliver Kahn again :o

Which player / goalkeeper impressed most so far?

Cheers

Sarcasm, I like it..........

Fernando Torres and Cech for me so far. Torres looks so complete already.

i know he's only played as a sub but Lionel Messi looked frightening when he came on against Serbia.

Good thread.

Players of the tournament so far.

Goalie:

Kamaguchi(spelling ?) (Japan) - some great saves against Aus and a top class penalty save against Croatia

Defenders:

Lucas Neil (Australia) - has been outstanding especially in the game against Brazil.

John Terry (England) - commands the penalty area like no other player.

Midfielders:

Kaka (Brazil) - great vision and passing.

Riquelme (Argentina) - playmaker

Arjen Robben (Spain) - best winger and creative dribbler.

Frings (Germany) - best holding midfielder

Xabi Alonso (Spain) - best passer in the game

Strikers:

Torres (Spain) - great touch.

Crespo (Argentina) - hasn't missed a chance.

Watch out for Messi (Argentina) to be player of the tournament and take over the mantle of Ronaldinho as the best player in the world over the next few years. Scary to think they're on the same club team.

Best Goalkeeper: Kawaguchi

Worst Goalkeeper: Lehman

Best field player: Pirlo

Worst field player: Ronaldo
