The wife would like to know how much it costs to watch a world cup match live in the stadium....we assume that it depends on which game you attend and on where you sit. Does anyone know the range of ticket prices....I guess we'd like to know the original purchase prices as well as what the resale prices might be from scalpers.

Not sure what the face value of the tickets are but my brother is over in Germany and he said the tickets for the group matches are selling for around 1000 euros each.

For the Knock out stages they will be around 1200 - 1300 euros then after that is anyones guess.

I know in Japan 4 years ago tickets for the finals were changing hands for around 5000 - 6000 USD

Yeh i would have guesed around that, some people must be making a lot of money over there at the moment, Wish i had a few to sell.

My son studies in Germany. Left long time ago a deposit and got the other day a ticket Germany:Poland in Cat. 2 (whatever that means) for Euro 65.00.

Problem, he could not decide the match but had to wait what they give to him.

He as well got Portugal:Iran, Euro 65.00.

Before the match Holland - Argentina they asked Euro 1000 (US $ 1250) but later the offered tickets came down to E 600 so quite reasonable (original price E 38)

I read some stories in the newspapers that for the FINAL in Berlin tickets are going well over Euro 10.000 but let's wait and see...
