I couldn't help but think on seeing the headline "Awright! One for our side!!!". Something like Rooney's goal in losing effort, have something to take away....post-4641-1156694083.gif.pagespeed.ce.HF

The old "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't" or "You can't cheat an honest man (or woman)"

Done film extras in los, no questions asked, day out, good socialising and got paid by the day cash, easy money and good fun, no need to care about a wp if no one ever asks.

14 years and scamming 3m is all of 214k a year or about 9,000 euros a year. Not a fantastic amount, the overstay is also no biggie its just 20k max fine.

Dosnt deserve jail imo its petty crime scam, Just fine him and boot him out, perma ban entering Thailand. Hardly the criminal mastermind of the century, I know plenty of expats who have been scammed out of 3m + in a year or less, nothing ever befalls those Thai lady scammers.

Minor headline, minor crime made to look like its soooo evil..

Absolutely disgusting. However, for those of us keeping score it is now 3000000000000 baht for the Thai h....s who have ripped off of the stupid farongs and 3000000 baht for the stupid farongs who have ripped off the nice Thai ladies. Lots of catching up to do but at least it is a start. LOL

Btw, as an aside, I honked my motorcycle at a red truck who was up against the curb in traffic about 1/4 km from the intersection so no one could get by. That is the designated bike lane. It was one quick beep not even a beep beep. The toothless driver got out and grabbed a machete under his seat and came at me. I told him very quickly if he valued his testicles to back off and revved up my big bike. He got back in the truck and I went around him.

I would say Thailand is definitely on the right track with the coup by the military. No doubt in my mind they will clean up this kind of lawlessness. One of these days I am going to remember this is a country of hoors, homeless and hoodlums only.

You need an unlicensed gun mate...

15k ;)

1zgarz5.gif.pagespeed.ce.GJfs_tQOQ-.gif "Bogdan Rejic" isn't a German name. It is not a real German.

He's a former Yugoslav, either Serb, Croatian or Bosnian. And he was either a "guest-worker" in Germany, or a war criminal who got away...

That's about 30 years wages at minimum wage.

And fraud is fraud, it's a crime.

Overstay, I know only 20k baht, but I think they should get strict about that too.

He is Serbian. And even if he is born in Germany he's still Serbian. If you ask a him where he is from he would state he's serbian born in Germany

Why is it taboo to tell where people are from or their origin. I'm Serb born and raised in Sweden . Now living in Pattaya. I'm still Serbian.

A cat born in a barn is still a cat not a cow :)

@Traveller45

You

Well, you would have to ask him that. My gut answer is, no, he is not, he is and remains Turkish, and proudly so. He is as far remote from that scammer as could possibly be imagined. Turks are proud and straight. Serbs are crooked and always have been. Sorry if I am insulting people but that is the way it is.

Me

No it's not.

You can't pin a person's nationality on their name. Lots of TV members assume I'm Welsh and assume English as not my native language,

simply because of my name. I always thought a Welsh person grew up with English, but the slander hurled at me for not speaking "proper English" was truly amazing.

1zgarz5.gif.pagespeed.ce.GJfs_tQOQ-.gif "Bogdan Rejic" isn't a German name. It is not a real German.

The days when all Germans were called Fritz, Heinrich and Ludwig have long gone.

In 2013 the most popular baby's name in Germany was Ben. Herr H would not be amused. biggrin.png

Nothing wrong with Ben. In the UK I believe the most popular boys name is Mohammed! Most true Brits are not amused! wub.png

By 'true brits' you mean the mongrel offspring of just about anybody who ever set foot ashore the British isles to engage in a bout of conquering, raping and pillaging or who was brought back to the isles as part of the Empires efforts to conquer, rape and pillage; right? huh.png

No, not exactly right. That would be "the Empire's efforts ...", but otherwise ...

I am sure there are hundreds of bargirls who have numerous men in tow who are sending them money from around the world whilst they think they are the only ones. If a farang complained to the Junta would they arrest and prosecute a thai woman. I don't think so.

Bogdan is a Slavic name commonly found in Romania, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Croatia and Serbia, it is certainly is not a German name ... Rejic also appears under various derivations in Croatia, Serbia and the Czech Republic.

That is not this guys name because I know he has not been here 14 years. Must be a stolen passport. Where is the owner of the passport?

Possibly on flight MH 370 (wherever that is)?

As wrong as it may be , it is reassuring that there is actually some kind of bizarre sense of balance in the Universe.

Week after week we read about poor stupid farangs falling in love ( c**tstruck more like ) and getting ripped off by Thai ladies and now this...........can't help but admire human behaviour - it never fails to disappoint.

And besides he doesn't look German, a proud member of the Aryan race, if he was he'd have blonde hair and blue eyes.

Yes, he's quite definitely a lower class Slav who somehow has obtained a German passport. facepalm.gif

I cannot imagine a citizen from the nothern half of the continent (pomes fritur excluded) holding a sign with his name up for a picture, while he is a suspect. And anyone who is capable of understanding more than one language could assume that this is not a swiss, german, french, scandinavian, and so on (I only refer to continental EU states) name. (the countries named are only an example) Of course have the prussian conservatives let many people in, albanian mafia and maybe they also given them prussian passports. So maybe TV after all is an excellent news bringer!

Here we go again.

It's probably a Serbian name, but let's just imagine his Serbian (Yugoslav) father may have moved to Germany after WWar II and met a nice little blond German fraulein and married her and little Bogdan was born in Munich.

I would say that makes him a German wouldn't you?

Germany has long been a haven for immigrants.

<<<< Off topic deflection comments removed >>>>

Or emigrated to Germany after WWI, or even before.

I have to agree with ratcatcher--why are we going through this again?

This at least the third, maybe the fourth, time in recent months when someone made the same daft comment using a different country--"Gee, that doesn't sound like a (fill in the blank) name."

Duh, already. Advanced nations, especially in North America, Europe, and ANZ, are nations of immigrants.

The most advanced nation, Japan, is clearly not......

Japan is neither "North America, Europe, and ANZ" nor part of my intended nation of immigrants premise, but I'll bet many of their immigrants from Korea and Sakalin have non-Japanese names.

The BBC did a fact check on Thai media and they came out number one in accuracy. When pressed for details the accuracy they were talking about was when the reporters were all playing pin the tail on the donkey at the last Aesean get together. When it came to reporting the news they didn't make the cut. But who doesn't know that here yet? LOL

Btw, those fours cops are the creme de la creme of undercover detectives. I am so surprised they posted their photos.

Only in London is Mohammed now the most popular boys name, but looking at the whole of England, that name is down to about 18. But well ahead of Ben !

The names Mohammed or Bogdan is not on the top 25 in Germany, whereas Ben is top.
