I believe that the Universities are correct in their approach to insist that physical male students dress as males and physical female students dress as females during the receiving of their diplomas, rather than in certain attires according to what genders the students mentally believe they are, otherwise it all becomes chaotic and creates confusion.

This is my opinion because the definition of what is a ladyboy is not distinct, or clear. For example; are they gays, transvestites, cross dressers and what exactly is their sexual orientation? How do we place males who dress in female attire into categories? Or should we just conclude that all ladyboys are the same, full stop? For example; if I temporary dress as a woman and then revert back to dressing as a male, does that mean I am metamorphosed into some sort of female and should be considered and treated as a female while dressed in female attire? Somehow I do not think so.

"Ladyboys" weren't even mentioned in the news article. It was about transgender students. As a clue to you, gender identity is NOT the same thing as sexual orientation. Yes, there is a lot of diversity in the world with both factors, but they are DIFFERENT things.

Quite right too.

No quite wrong, the University should fully focus on the quality of their graduates. Not on their uniforms or gender. That should be totally scrapped.

It shouldn't matter if someone comes with this or that uniform or naked....only performance matters. So the that discussion is the wrong discussion.....

No we should not care about the transgenders rights and uniforms.....We should care about quality and performance only at university....

Separate issue.

Alright. So you can have men who think they're lesbian ? Fascinating. Never mind the women who think they're gay, how can you even spot one ? biggrin.png

Yes, actually.

A transgender man to woman who mainly loves females could be described as lesbian.

Most male to female transgender persons are into men though (mostly straight men) ... but your example certainly occurs in real life.

There are also good arguments that our entire (mostly western) system of labeling people in these ways is deeply flawed in the first place.

In any case, at least labels provide a way that we can coherently talk about such things, but that doesn't mean they actually fully reflect an objective reality of complex human sexuality.

Also of course the labels that westerners tend to use don't have the same meaning to most Thais in Thailand, as they have their own distinctive culture, as we all should know.

Frankly I don't care if they want to run around Siam Center bare-arsed and wearing panties on their heads as long as they don't try to harangue me with their culture.

Can you direct me to where you got your thought please, Quote, " bare-arsed and wearing panties on there head", Maybe some Thai Visa male members where having a night out..
