Electrical Repairs - kako exercise machine

Featured Replies

We have a Kako Japan exercise machine, its a stand on vibrating plate (see picture). Its just over a year old and has stopped working, the electronics at the top where the time and speed etc is works ok as it lights up and runs through the programmes, it just the vibrating part you stand in does not move at all. I guess its the motor? but there was not smell or smoke just stopped suddenly.

We bought if from Groupon Thailand and they have been no help at all they just say contact the manufacturer but there are no contact details at all, we still have the instruction and original box, they have contacted the supplier but he has not provided them any details of the manufacturer. We even made a claim against the UK credit card we used to purchase it but they rejected the claim saying that Groupon only supplied a voucher not the goods, even though we have a delivery note showing it was dispatched from Groupon in Bangkok.

As it cost over 10,000baht we are looking to see if its worth repairing, but no ideas where to go? and the other thing is that we only have a motorbike and it weighs 48kg so they would need to come to us to repair or collect.

Anyone have any ideas? thanks.
