webfact Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Sihasak tells UN of the junta's effort to narrow social gapsNEW YORK: -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clarified Thailand’s current situation to the international community through the United Nation’s stage, stressing that the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)is focusing its efforts on reducing the nation's social gaps while upholding the benefits of the people at its heart, the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT) said.NNT, the country’s official national news agency, said the permanent secretary of the Foreign Affairs ministry Seehasak Puangketkeaw, addressed at the High Level Political Forum Ministerial Dialogue at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.According to Mr Seehasak, the NCPO’s policies are inspired by His Majesty the King’s sufficiency philosophy, which emphasises fairness, equality and partnership among Thais.Every nation has different background and priority, said the Permanent Secretary, adding that Thailand needs to focus on public participation in addressing the national agendas.
