Popular Post lostmebike Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 'It is expected that she would visit her brother, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, to celebrate his birthday anniversary in Paris if the junta approves her request' Oh how sweet, NOT! I hope her request is denied. This pair of crooks shouldn't be allowed to smile let alone celebrate. 5
whybother Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 But the Olympics aren't until 2016 ... and they're in Brazil, not in Europe. 1
Popular Post JoeThePoster Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 Bye Bye. Bye Bye Thailand, Buy Buy Paris. 5
Pralaad Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 But the Olympics aren't until 2016 ... and they're in Brazil, not in Europe. You assuming she knows Europe is not a country 2
Popular Post Artisi Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 I'll come back, honest I will cause I want to face the enquiry regarding my role in the rice scam scheme. NCPO - No way - never let her out of your sight, she is about as honest as her fugitive camel herding brother and we are well aware of the limitations of his honesty. 7
tim armstrong Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 It's hard to believe this is an innocent trip o/s, when she must know that a jail term is quite possible soon. From the NCPO standpoint if she does 'do a Thaksin' they could still sentence her in exile and cancel her passport. But that would leave many rice farmers believing that justice was not done. 1
Popular Post AleG Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 Someone who is a fleeing risk asking for permission to visit a convicted fugitive abroad... yeah, right. 16
rubl Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Sure, why not? May I suggest Ms. Yingluck as ordinary citizen once more ask permission and adds a certified copy of her ticket, means to support herself, visa entered in her passport and a signed statement to immediately return at the planned end of the trip AND indicating when that planned end is? Maybe luggage regulations should also be applied as is normal for 'normal' people ? 2
Pib Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Good to see Yinluck doing more handbag foreign shopping trips...you go girl!--and then stay there!!
Popular Post trainman34014 Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 If The General agrees to this his reputation as a man who seeks true justice for all will be tarnished forever. Lets face it; can this woman be trusted to return and face the music ? Methinks not....but just my humble opinion. 9
Popular Post TVGerry Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 Make her post a billion dollar bond in order to leave. You let her go without the bond and she'll never come back to face charges. 7

rametindallas Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Ehhh, did she visit her brother abroad last year? Or any year? Why now? Would it have something to do with a massive number of court cases, civil and criminal, she is facing. I say, keep her here and have a televised show trial so she can be a lesson to those who would abuse their authority. I will be shocked if she is given permission to leave; it will send a loud signal to other wrongdoers that there are two kinds of justice in Thailand. As the Red Shirts have said over and over, ad nauseam, NO DOUBLE STANDARDS! 2
smedly Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 check her luggage PS isn't France the current location for the rebel anti coup terrorist group headquarters and didn't she sign a declaration not to get involved in any political/terrorist motivated activities, I think I would decline the request ubtil she has completed all the pending hearings 2
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Wonder what her luggage allotment will be? Two suitcases, or, a whole separate plane just carrying every single thing she owns??? 1

I wonder what the Vegas odds are that she will return at the end of 20 days. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind betting she will return. Oh, well, it will save some court costs but that is a drop in the ocean to the financial damage she did to the country. I am very disappointed in the NCPO; they come off as being either naive or cynical. 2
Popular Post Paulzed Posted July 17, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2014 Yingluck’s lawyer asks the NACC not to rush the case. Maybe Gen. Prayuth senses this and sees her leaving Thailand as the best thing for the country. I hope this is the case. The last thing Thailand needs now is to have her case wrapped up in the courts. Thailand needs to forget the Shinawatra family and move on, uniting the country and becoming one again. 4
