Windows technical department spam calls?

Featured Replies

Just someone call me windows technical department Iam from Microsoft you understand I hang up phone imidiatly , how this spam looks like come maybe from Philippine ?

Did you ever give Microsoft your phone number?

Microsoft do have call centres in various places around the region, but I've never heard of them cold calling, only calling back when you have an active support ticket.

Have you tried calling the number that called you?

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

You missed a great opportunity, Microsoft are probably adding Sandman as an an additional language in Windows 9 and wanted your help with the tranlations.

Microsoft never calls. The have no reason to. Biggest old scam been going around for years. Calls from people claiming to be from Microsoft telling you they found a problem on your computer are scamer's. Ask yourself this question, how do they know there is problem with "your" computer simply by monitoring the Internet? Can't be done unless someone planted "malware" on your computer. Then you need to ask how did they do that? It means they if did, they did it illegally.

Sandy if you find a couple of remotes that don't work on your TV's give Jesse a ring...

The point of the call is to *get* you to install malware on your computer.

"Please go to this website because it will fix your problem, etc.".

Just talk very quietly to them so they have to turn up their headset volume; then get a football whistle and blast it down the mouthpiece before hanging up.

I love this remedy for nuisance callers!
