Refused entry at Swampy for 20 minutes

Really, the officer speaks English well enough to ask the questions? I have NEVER been asked anything since 1997.

Yeah- his English was good enough- usually is with immigration officers, at least in my experience. I mean, we weren't discussing the impact of economic recession on social values and cultural imperatives or anything. It was your basic- "How long you go school? What name your school? How long you stay in Thailand before? How long you stay this time?". Ultimately it was okay because I answered in Thai anyway and he then switched to Thai, but it's maybe a wee bit odd that you think none of the officers can speak English at all.

My current passport is 3 years old and has 20+ exempt stamps. The only time I get the 20 questions is by the jobsworths in my own good 'ole USA. (And Japan customs, they look in my bag occasionaly when returning from BKK).

Do you guys think i can get Problems after the 12. August with my travel plans for every year ??? :

My travelplan:

1st Trip:

09.02.2014 - 01.03.2014 (stay 21 days on Visa Exempt)

2nd Trip:

26.04.2014 - 03.05.2014 (stay 8 days on Visa Exempt)

3rd Trip:

07.06.2014 - 14.06.2014 (stay 8 days on Visa Exempt)

4th Trip:

27.09.2014 - 04.10.2014 (stay 8 days on Visa Exempt)

As I already posted to another topic : I still don't see anywhere that offshore workers on rotation are a group possibly being targeted, they are not. The main targets seem to be people that do out/in's, continuously stay in Thailand that way and may (or may not) work illegally, they are the only people so far confirmed to have been asked questions. No-one else!

All the other rumours are very much unconfirmed. and I stronlgy discourage anyone to alter plans based on the rumours here, but that is my personal opinion.

Why do you feel the need to ask this question? I don't see any reason whatsoever why you would be refused entry into Thailand with the above itinerary. If someone says otherwise, (s)he should back it up with solid evidence, and not based on rumours spread by others.

I agree that's how it should be.. Yet krabi and Phuket (ranong also) are leaning much closer to 3 visa exempt stamps only.. As yet we don't know over what period.

If that is so, then this person should have enough time to get a tourist visa, problem solved. Where you get the info on the 3 stamps is yet again unproven, so pls provide additional info. Thai immigration at Suvarnabhumi is not going to send hundreds of people away per day who are just like him
