30,000 baht and up for that. You can get away with a lot out there, bands and band stands and buffet type food is cheap, as are simple decorations.

Keep a contingency for additional food and drink on the day though as if you think your village wedding will only be 100 people you've got another thing coming.

I don't think anyone would wise crack a guy wondering how much his wedding would cost mate.

I think maybe 150k to 200k baht would throw a nice party. I could be wrong however.

That is exactly what I am being quoted, so appreciate the validation that it is correct. Her family tends to do things right, so I can count on it being a nice affair. And they are pretty straight people. Plus, I have family and friends flying in from the states, some of whom have never been to Thailand, much less a village wedding. So, should be well worth it, and a nice affair. Thanks.
