I'd buy one as well. Amazing how much pruning is needed even in a small garden, we put out at least 6 black garbage bags every week for the rubbish guys.

That doesn't sound to promising, might have to import.

Anyone seen one please keep the replies coming.

One thing you can be sure of, if you manage to find one it will be expensive.

If you want a gasoline operated one, you might consider the CLP WC-155 (this is the one I bought -- manual attached).

You can contact CLP for a dealer near you, or buy direct.

Is that Global House in Rayong , thanks for the tip .

Thanks for the lead on the gasoline powered one, but it is a bit overkill in my case, need something smaller than that.

I have a feeling i saw quite a decent electric one in Hardware house (the big one on the 36 on the way to Rayong) cant remember the price but if you are on the way to Global you could go in past and check it out.

Had one of these a couple of years ago... the story and pictures in the Farming Forum.

Eats belts, shoddy workmanship. They had a Yank working for them then but soon he wasn't allowed to communicate with me. Finally got my money returned from them and sent the unit back.

Bought a Kojima hammermill unit which has done a good job.

Purchase AOR!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the CLP -- very sorry actually. I have not used mine much yet as I have been building a house and have had no time for gardening. I hope I have better luck than you when I get down to business. I'll be way beyond the warranty. So, while it seems like a tough machine, I really cannot attest to its reliability with heavy use.

Take a read in the Farming forum... I think it's under wood chippers or the like.

I too thought the basic construction appeared sound. Then, after the first belts gave out quickly I discovered that the pulley alignment was way off. Unable to get adjustment right myself and then discovered that the belt engagement shaft welds had broken. Back to BKK with it. Repair done in a most shoddy manner.

Belt life still under one hour once I got it back. Please understand that I wasn't giving it a hard workout at all chopping orchard trimings.

Belt length is too short for the work being required of them. Too much flex in a short distance for the load they have to carry. I suggested "cogged" belts but they said no need. After lots of back-and-forth they first tried offering 80% refund of the original price. I held out and got 100% plus the freight charges I had paid.

Rather amazed that they did that but it took some struggling and effort on my part I can assure you!

don't expect it to last for very much longer than the 30 day warranty period, but so far it has done a good job out of branches up to 25 mm thickness.

Let us know in 3 months how durable it is.
