Okay, I had to get anew medical certificate for the department of labor, having in mind that they wanted a syphilis test the year before.

So I went to Patcharak hospital, the private one in Sisaket.

A young and very attractive female doctor with outstanding English skills ( guess she's got more skills, guys like me would deeply appreciate)

Without an X-Ray, or blood test, I'm so healthy that it couldn't be better. They checked: 1. Leprosy. 2. Tuberculosis. 3. Elephantitis. 3. No Drug Addiction 4. Not an Alcoholic 5. No syphilis.

Okay, I knew that the Sisaket LD don't ask for such tests, an ordinary medical seems to be okay for them, but not in Ubon Ratchathani.

All in a sudden, she had forgotten her doctor's ID. I've told her that she could write any numbers, as nobody will ever check on her Unfortunately, she agreed and we had quite good conversations about many things, nothing to do with my request.

Then I had to explain hot to download the newest movies, software etc. using utorrent and the bay.I sat there for maybe an hour and she always came up with a new topic.

God, a situation where men wish to be single. ( Wife forgive me, please)

Then a phone number exchange, paid my bill of 200 baht, got two copies and left the hospital being pretty much flattered.

So for all guys in Sisaket Ubon areas, go to the Pratchark hospital, as others charge alread 200 baht just for the syphilis test, then a maybe drug test, and and and...

If you've got the good luck to meet he, please share your feelings here. Lol --thumbsup.gif

Agreed. It may be slightly OT, but it's a very pleasant change from from reading about folks' criticism and attacks on other members - and the inevitable grammar police posts,,,,biggrin.png

Brightens up the morning, if nothing else....

Does any of this really have anything to do with teaching in Thailand or is it just some mid-life crisis fantasy and ego trip?

I don't think you need all those other tests for the Labor Department. My Doctor also talks to me for extended time periods, wanting to learn English from a native speaker. Questions vary but it's all in good fun. The tendency to attach sexual antics to every conversation between a man and a woman is true only in Thailand.

They must have "created" new medical certificates that are suitable for labor departments, as they didn't have them a year ago. But then again, if you really need a syphilis test, that's already around 200 baht, then a drug test and and...

Seems that all is covered on that one and no more wasted time to go for blood tests, X-Rays, etc...

But I think there's nothing wrong when people speak to each other using "eye language"....

Mr. /Mrs. Suradit, this is teaching related, as we all need a medical. Sorry for my boring post. i apologize to you.
