BANGKOK, July 30 -- The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) is preparing to dispatch two C-130 transport aircraft to assist moving Thai nationals from violence plagued Libya.

RTAF Deputy Commander Air Chief Marshal Thongchai Chalaemkhet informed the press that the air force has been ordered to prepare planes to evacuate Thai workers from Libya, noting that the pilots, crew, and government officials have already prepared travel routes and evacuation plans.

The air force has prepared two C130s, which are available for immediate departure, once given orders to do so, with the RTAF planning to land in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The RTAF is awaiting final instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

ACM Thongchai said that further support from other agencies might be needed, as the C130 aircraft could only carry up to 100-120 passengers per trip. (MCOT online news)

Would probably be safer to stay in Libya.

Nothing wrong with Thai pilots I've flown with lot's of them they are very professional. UK pilots I would say are probably some of the biggest pain in the asses I've ever flown with. Probably should have stayed attached to there mother nipple a couple of months longer................just saying. thumbsup.gif
