Work Permits

Featured Replies

If someone with a Work Permit loses his job, what is the situation with that permit, -does it automatically become null and void?

Is the holder obliged to report the situation to the Authorities?

the work permit belongs to the company registered on it, it does'nt matter if your name is on it, if a member of staff finishes the job for whatever reason then the permit should be kept by the employer and the employer has to enform the labour office and who will cancel it.

even if you still have the permit you cannot use it any where else

you and your employer have to report the termination of employment to the labour department (I think this has to be done within 7 days?).

WP will be revoked.

VISA:

if you are on a Non-Imm-B visa tied to the WP it will also be revoked within seven days after the WP cancellation.

if you are on an extended Non-Im-O visa based on marriage/family support your visa will remain valid but you will have to show funds or new WP when the time for renewal comes.
