Popular Post Lite Beer
A suspected arms supplier for red-shirt thugs arrested BANGKOK: -- Another suspect who allegedly supplied arms to red-shirt thugs to harass protesters of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee during the protests earlier this year has been arrested by police. The suspect, identified as 42-year old Phirapong Sinthusonthichart, was presented to the media today (Friday) by Pol Gen Somyos Poompanmuang, the deputy national police chief. Police alleged that the suspect supplied war weapons and explosives to other suspects earlier arrested by the police namely Yongyuth Boondee, Chatchaval Prabbamrung and Narong Plai-aram. Police claimed that Phirapong admitted that a house in Khao Chamao in Rayong province had been used as a training ground for the thugs who harassed the anti-government protesters. Popular Post djjamie
surely they are mistaken, the reds only use peaceful means UDD principle #3 To promote non-violence as our modus operandi for all activities. Unfortunately when unprincipled one need not follow their own principles. They would have written this with the belief they would never get caught because they were protected by the regime they brought to power. That is why reform was needed.

The Thug of all Thugs could you perhaps remind me what he personally did to anyone..its been a while since the protests..my memory is a bit vague..thanks in advance for any links. Oh, how I have missed PTP logic. One can defend terrorists and arms dealers by not denouncing them. Never denouncing them. Not once have I heard a UDD supporters denounce them. What do they say? Well apart from the "Beat the War Drum" meeting (where war means a "peaceful gathering"!!!) when they clapped and cheered the terrorist deaths they normally say "How about the yellows" as if it rationalizes what a red shirt did or is in some way is a defense for terrorism because the other side did it. That is PTP logic. Lets look at this quant little simplistic example above when one states "Like the yellow Buddhist monk." which is quickly followed by another comment stating "The Thug of all Thugs" Phirapong Sinthusonthichart is an arms dealer to red shirt supporters that apparently follow principle #3 stating "To promote non-violence as our modus operandi for all activities." However this is all brushed aside. The article completely ignored. The hypocrisy of the red shirts completely overlooked. The violence that these same people said the red shirts did not commit 4 months ago is forgotten and replaced with a simple "Like the yellow Buddhist monk" The intellect reflected in some statements and rebuttals is breathtaking in itself, but retracts from my main point. That being that they have nothing to say about the violence perpetrated by this man in the OP. The insecurity and absolute fear off admitting they were wrong and were lied to by the PTP and the UDD is too much to bear so the best they come out with is "Like the yellow Buddhist monk" Amazing Thailand? Nahhh, amazing logic. If the article was about the Yellow Buddhist monk terrorizing someone or supplying arms to terrorists would I say "Like the red shirts"? Not at all. I would say "Arrest him and throw away the key. Why? I do not support terrorism or try to rationalize it or defend it by denouncing the "other side" So to get onto your point winstonc regarding any links I would like to say. Lets not look at the negative links of the monk. Lets look at the positive links of both to compare. Positive links to Phirapong Sinthusonthichart. None Positive links to Buddha Issara Farmer reform plan kindly translated into English here. It is based on the King's theory of a self sufficient economy. Buying rice mills with donated money to allow farmers to sell directly to consumers here. With that said if Phirapong Sinthusonthichart is found guilty of any crimes I hope he is given an appropriate sentence. If not guilty, I will accept the courts decision and move on. I won't throw sh#t at the courts or burn effigies of the judges. That is best left for uneducated terrorist supporters. If Issara is found guilty of any crimes I hope he too is given an appropriate sentence. If not guilty, well you understand!! May peace and reconciliation be with you. With comments like some of the above it may be along way away. Edited August 9, 2014 by djjamie
chainarong
Regardless of what colour faction you follow, mine was green at school, fifty years ago , so I will stay with that, the red shirts you have to admit attracted a certain kind of person in leadership and organizational area's , unfortunately the momentum propelled these characters to abuse of power, of peoples rights, of sham democratic ideals and a merchant of death factory , all being promoted by the elusive Khun Thasin , say's a lot for their followers, brain washed supporters have no place in a free democracy, a Thug indeed, you just have to determine which one. Prbkk
Oh, is this the guy who supplied the weapons to the "popcorn gunman" , the one who shot and maimed the elderly grandfather? Or did those weapons come from a different source? Maybe he provided the guns used in the murders, shootings, bashings, interrogations, torture...some of which were overseen by the poisoned monk.
