You don’t want any oils as they’re all fat ,poach or gril is best

You body needs fat, though most could do with a little less saturated fat.  Why if not wanting flavor of the oil (EVOO, Coconut or Sesame) we use Canola.

Seen some notably poor results from those experiments-of-one.

Some numbers aren't detected until they've already done internal damage you really didn't need. Keeping all the visible metrics w/i healthy range is all to the good, however. Doing that, I haven't needed any meds so far, at age 75.

Me neither, as looking at past numbers, I really don't think I needed the statin that was prescribed to me.   Ignorance is Bliss ... for big pharma.

The HDL/TG ratio was easily controlled with just diet, actually better without the statin.  Docs love treating symptoms, no causes.  Sad that they are so ignorant, or just follow big pharma protocol.

High BP = Statin script ... F'g sad, when YT gives better medical advice :coffee1:

No. I could cite studies, but we don't read those here. A respected book on the subject is Dr. Malcom Kendrick, The Clot Thickens: The Enduring Mystery of Heart Disease.

TG/HDL, great predictor. Low carb/keto will get into range. In some, the diet raises LDL, but not a worry. 'Course, exercise helps as well.

Common cooking oil could be causing colon cancer surge in young people, warn doctors

Diet of crap food day in day out.........Maybe..

But for the more sensible folk, use anything in moderation, probably nothing to worry about.

I think the USA diet seems to be based around unhealthy food, fat, oil, salt, sugar and huge servings....🤒

For stir frying we use olive oil (high heat) and first cold pressed EV for salads. For deep frying, which isn't often, I buy oils like sunflower or rice, sometimes coconut oil.

Go to Makro. You can buy bulk Italian everyday olive oil 'Sabroso' in a clear plastic 5 litre bottle for @1000 baht. It will burn at high temp though!

Aaaaaaah awful stuff - also be careful with Olive Oil I bought some italian in one well known supermarket two bottles at a very good price - when I opened it I am sure it was fake - couldn't trace the reg number on the alleged suppliers web site - if it seems ......

For cooking I often use Coconut Oil which is fairly cheap over here but you can't beat the taste of bread toasted with Olive Oil. Now that really is Sabroso (in the meaning of the Spanish word - tasty).
