This new form is interesting. By signing it you are confirming that you understand (stand under) these new rules.

There must be a reason you have to sign it, ie that is what makes you subject to them.

Soooo... logic follows, if you don't sign, you are not subject to them?

Please no flaming, its a theoretical question.

I means nothing other than your acknowledge that you are aware of the rules so you can't say you were not aware of them later.

I suspect it is also a way of getting the word out about the new rules. The first we heard about it was from somebody reporting that they had to sign the form.

While your unfamiliarity with the rules does not affect your being subject to the rules, your signature may serve the purpose to prove your guilt (or criminal intent) which may become the aggravating circumstance in case you break the rules.

Apologies for my poor English ))

Well seeing as they check that you have signed it, I would suggest it is a case of no signature, no extension !!

1. Don't sign and risk not getting 90 day or extension - still liable for the new rules.

2. Sign and acknowledge new rules - still liable for the new rules

Decision is yours. Sure no 1 will give the immigration staff a bit of a giggle.
