NOT!

It seems that the diving one's antics caught up with him and his almost certain trophy - he's not to blame for England's bad showing in the WC, but he certainly has made it very easy to be the scapegoat of the nation - - - and it's all his own doing.

So, the World Cup Young Player is Lukas Podolski!!!! (Hey, so we win one trophy at least . . .)

The online poll has been sabotaged by the Tartan Army who have all voted for Ronaldo, just to piss the English off.

FIFA should know better than to have online polls. :o

Got to love it really. :D

Ahem, . . . . The Pole no longer . . . part of the Fatherland now!

(It is odd, isn't it, but then just look at the French team - how many were born in France?)

Not to mention the Ozzie team. :o

All of the Aussie team were born in Australia, as were several of the Croation team.

The large influx of (then) Yugoslavians into Oz occurred in the fifties, sixties and seventies.

Their descendents are now playing for their country of birth in soccer.

The European background of many of our soccer players can be explained by the fact that Australia has three other codes of football, all more popular than soccer in terms of spectator numbers. Soccer was mainly played by the European migrant communities. This is changing. :D
