two piece rain wear

Featured Replies

hiya all

I have a Poncho but not a big fan of it.

Often when I drive I see a couple people zoom by in two piece rain wear

like the jacket and the rain pants ,which I would say are better for riding a motorbike etc

Anyone know of some locations where I could get have decent quality rain wear like that?

Thanks

I had mine made at a tailor. total cost including fabric was around 350 baht. Works great as it was hard for me to find ones that fit.

Yes.

Drive passed the Computer Plaza on the left for about one and a half kilometres and on the left you will see a couple of rain coat specialist shops.

I have been buying my 2 piece motorbike rain wear in those shops for years. Excellent quality a sort of rubbery material not plastic, includes buttons and zips, completely rain proof, from 300 baht to 450 baht a suit. Colours, orange, dark green and black. All the suits have reflective strips on them.

Walk right into the back of the shops, all the real stuff, the proper gear is there.

Below is a Google map and street view images of the shops.

I heard about those, was told by 2 or 3 people that they quality was not so good there, like after a month or two you were dealiing with broken zippers, buttons , tears etc

but will still go and check it out. I was kind of looking for something like the image below of course with the matching pants... doesnt have to be exactly like this just similiar
