Koh Tao , Chumpon or Donsak

Featured Replies

So Im heading over to Koh Tao in a couple of weeks . I see ferries leave both Chumpon and Donsak to go there.

Anybody tried both ? Or have an idea of which would be the best service .

Need to transport materials over so cant be a speedboat as such.

Thanks in Advance

Chumphon gives you the quickest journey as it is the first port of call rather than the last going from Donsak. You can take the Lomprayah cat which takes about 1.5 hours to get there but if you have a lot of things then you can also take the night ferry as well or just send your gear via the night ferry and collect it on Tao thumbsup.gif

I have Lompraya's timetable for the high season, but considering it is low season now I would call them, 077-200932. You can book seats by telephone. Passage from Don Sak takes 3 to 4 hours.
