If Scotland do go for independence, do we know if they are planning on having a consulate in Chiang

If Scotland votes 'Yes', I am hoping that having a Scottish mother I will be able to get a Scottish passport. Once this is achieved I would hope the whole passport / visa process for children and Thai wives will be easier than it is currently under the UK Government.

My main gripe is having to visit an outsourcer in Bangkok for new births, passport renewals, visas for the wife etc.

Anyone know if they plan a consulate here?

I would worry about that after the english have rebuilt hadrians wall and incorporated passport controls.

Yes it will be in Loh Kroi road and is currently being used as a ATM location

They'll be Scottish. You'll be required to file tax reports every year like the Americans. They won't miss a penny cent.
