Any suggestions welcome, please, from days out to nights out; from the Tourist perspective to the Traveller perspective and not forgetting the Local perspective.

Restaurants, bars, scenic views, historical monuments, local customs and events, off-the-wall ideas? Basically, ideas and reccomendations from the sublime to the ridiculous are all welcome.

Where is good for a Chrimbo Dinner suggestions would also be nice (but not at a large commercial hotel enterprise, please. I would rather spend my time with locals and ex-pats than with tourists in a sanitised hotel restaurant). Even if that means missing out on Turkey with all the trimmings.
