TedX Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get tickets to the upcoming tedX event on September 27th? According to the website, the event is sold out, but I'd be willing to buy two tickets for above-normal price if they are available and transferable. Thanks in advance for any helpful information!

If you can't get tickets, the event can be viewed from two satellite venues: the College of Media Art & Technology [CAMT] at CMU, and the Meeting Room Art Cafe.

Contact them directly.

Thanks, just moved to Chiang Mai and trying to get my hands on some tickets to the event for my girlfriends birthday. Will for sure try to contact them directly.

Good luck getting tickets.

I don't know if "scalpers" exist here. It may be a Western practice that hasn't reached Chiang Mai yet.

Incidentally, welcome to the forum.

The tickets are non-transferable. We got an email from the event organizers telling us that they are non-transferable and ticket holders must show their ID and the matching ticket to enter. However, they did say that if for some reason you are unable to attend they will buy back the ticket at 80% of value and then resell it to someone else. So you might check with them and see if you can get one or get on a waiting list.

Thanks so much for the info and suggestions. It seems like my best bet is to try and get in touch with someone from tedx directly and hope some returned tickets become available.

Good luck getting tickets.

Every SE Asia vendor is a scalper....

Did any members attend this TEDx?

I could not get a ticket either but I heard it was very disappointing compared to last year.
