The Brits complain harder, as such they get their own space to spare the rest of us their whinging.

Fair dinkum, they have an ability to turn a thread about cheese making in Thailand into a 10 page diatribe about their frozen pensions and 'migrants'. Best they have their own little corner to moan.

Never met any whingers in UK - wonderful hospitable people who broadened my mind, but I've met a few English oldies who are exactly as you say in real life - made me giggle to think of them! However, young Brits are pretty gung-ho and positive I've found.

True, just having a friendly early morning stir.

Australia doesn't have internet yet. They are not sure it's going to catch on.

Catching.

Something the English cricket team have trouble with.

Caught.

Something the English backpackers see a doctor about.

Not true. The government is in the process of rolling out a 3rd network which, when it is finished ... in 10 years, will only be 10 times slower than what is being rolled out in other developed countries today.

Though I must admit that my 10Mbps service here in Thailand delivers an average speed of about 1.7Mbps download for under $30, compared to my Australian ISP which could only manage about 1.2Mbps on a 10Mbps line for $70, so Australia still has some catching up to do.

Is this some kind of cryptic grammar lesson?

I think we should have a TVF sub forum for the genteel folk from Victoria, Australia. Let all the riff raff from the other states continue on as abnormal. biggrin.png

Only advantage of Australian internet is that the pings are lower to the USA, but that really only matters if your a gamer. Then you gotta put up with high costs and download limits, 100GB for on-peak 100mbit NBN for $80 is a joke, id go through that in 2 hours

Oh yeah, I forgot about NBN caps, I used to have TPG unlimited.

When I rule the world there will be no data caps!
