As the Tourism Authority of Thailand has been telling for the past 2 weeks, Thailand is as safe as ever.

What is it with these Thai thugs who are perpetually forgiven by the police with one excuse or another-like the rich moron parents who aways-but always- come up with the absurd statement- that their good sons would never do something like that,it is such a shame that Thailand seems to be slowly imploding by ignoring all these horrendous crimes..

These "tour guides" should be arrested for attempted murder and NEVER be allowed to work in the tourist industry again. Why have they not been arrested before? It says they have done this before. Is the so called police protecting these gangsters as well? For how long shall Thailand allow thugs, criminals and gangsters operate in the tourist industry?

There are many good honest people working in the tourist industry in Thailand, but their image is spoilt. It's a good reason to punish these criminals harder than normal. They have committed two crimes. One against the innocent Chinese man and the second against the nation of Thailand. The Thai people who damages the country's reputation and name, should be treated like traitors.

I'll say it again Thailand is past it's sell buy date.

This will surely be on the Chinese newspapers in the next day or two.

Koh Yao, Phuket, Pattaya and who knows what happened in Pattaya or Samui over the weekend.

An obvious case of "Mistaken Identy," by the Perp.'s. They actually wanted his brother who is an illegal Chinese Tour guide living in Phket illegally as well.

I was waiting for the train to arrive at the station.......train stopped and the railway station filled up with new arrivals and tuk tuk drivers.

One of the new arrivals asked me the way to the border with Laos.....on walking distance i replied.......and was nearly molested by a tuk tuk driver accusing me of robbing him from a 200 bath opportunity.

and all i did was merely being polite, something the local tuk tuk drivers never heard off.

As stated in other threads, as the tourist dollar starts to dry up on Phuket, due to the demographic of tourist coming here now, crime will increase, but of particular concern, will be the level of violence used in committing that crime.

So, if you are in a bar drinking with a few friends and a friend of a friend gets drunk and causes trouble and starts a fight. You believe that you should be arrested and face any legal action as a result of this persons actions. ?
