Unfortunately, the whole issue of investigation is a load of pathetic rubbish in the extreme plus the expert armchair detectives in TV should give it a break - just so much crap being sprouted all based on absolutely nothing.

It's a lowest IQ contest.

Some of the comments / assumptions wouldn't even raise 1 on the IQ scale for many of the poster's.

I have said in previous posts that the " speculation " is not good for the families. However, a significant number of people that do care, also do not like the statements that are coming out from the police. If everyone kept quiet waiting for the final decision of what they want to decide, then isn't that just making life very easy for those trying to cover something up ?

If no one speaks out or challenges the inconsistencies that we are hearing then that would make us cowards. You can take the Ivory Tower Position if you want, but I am glad some folk have more character to voice their opinions - not forgetting of course, that an overwhelming majority of posters know that justice in Thailand is not justice like we know it !

"Challenges", this is not the Supreme Court or even a court of law, it's not even a medium which could possibly influence local legal opinion or policy one iota.

Challenges my rubber duck, it's a bunch of 21st century washer women equivalents with too much time on their hands and nothing constructive to do with their time!

I'm certainly not taking an Ivory Tower Position of this, of course we should all speak about the nonsense going on with the so-called police investigation, I was commenting on and I will repeat for the benefit of those who can't read - " just so much crap being sprouted all based on absolutely nothing." and "Some of the comments / assumptions wouldn't ..... " this certainly wasn't meant as an overall statement of all posts, just the comments, many of them so in-sensitive they should be deleted together with those based on biased personal beliefs or airy-fairy understandings of the situation - which in fact we are really unaware of.

Of course just because it's taken 10 or so days to reach the 85% stage, doesn't mean the next 15% won't take the next hundred years.

And by the way, 85% is of no use....about as much use as getting 85% completed on your flight to Thailand before ditching into the sea. I want 100%, all the way, anything else is failure.

What's that Maddona song, "I've heard it all before"

Thai media is still concentrating on the Sean situation, spending more time on him than anyone else.

Many of the posters, including me, feel he is holding something back but DNA apparently cleared him as a prime suspect.

Of course in this hub of press freedom fairy stories do emerge so I remain as confused as ever.

Patronage system in action.

What an <deleted> u are. I hope I never have to rely on people like you! Is you first name Jack - as in " I am alright Jack " - so screw everyone else ! A relatively intelligent fella you probably are - a compassionate one you are most certainly not !

Enjoy your life pal - albeit, most likely a lonely one !

In the old days, a few friends playing Cleudo was fun and it was socially rewarding, a game lasted perhaps a couple of hours at tops - the internet equivalent doesn't have the same appeal, neither of which has anything to do with compassion.

Koh Tao murder probe 85% complete: Panya

Implies that they are certain that 85% of the people on the island that night didn't do it?

Seems to me murder investigations are a bit like pregnancy - there is no such thing as "85%" pregnant.

Until they catch the right perp it seems to me the crime is 100% unsolved.

But be careful in January.

I wanted to write this, then scrolled down and... :)

These official statements are always so lame and superficial that it hurts...

No murders guaranteed in December... for the rest of the year, we'll give the bad guys some slack, will we? :(

I like that expression "Ivory Tower Position" thumbsup.gif Everyone seems to have a point there. Think the crime itself is such an unbelievably cruel atrocity, that it is unnecessary to fight each other here on TV.

Let's see what unexpected "twist" the "investigators" (can't really call 'em that, can we?) come up with next...

I myself will not go near that island, nor support a single business on that island until somebody is brought to trial.

That is my little protest in support of David and Hannah and their families. 1 person multiplied has a big voice.

100 % with you on that one....

Been planning to visit for a year for 2-3 days with wife and baby...

Definitely not gonna give money to any mafia there...

From what I understand that was written in Thai, David (victim), his Mum will not pursue the case. She doesn't want to prolong the hurt she and her family have to deal with. She said that she knows David went to Thailand with his gay friend (indicating that David was gay). She doesn't want to rehash what has happened.

What? This is David with his gf:

Yes, it has been said that David had a girlfriend back in his country and a gay boyfriend that he went to Thailand. Some reports said that he came with him and another report said he met him there and that he knew him before.

If you go on holiday with a gay person, does that mean that you are gay?

I know some lesbians, luckily never been on holiday with them.........................sad.png

I can't understand why anyone would bother to comment on these endless official statements day after day - isn't there a very good chance that they are all just bolocks ?

Definitely agree with you on the last part...

For the first part, maybe because TV posters actually relate personnally to that event and would like the real truth to come out for the sake of the country where they live in, invest in, have children in...

Children whom one day may want to go to KT....

I think it goes without saying that all of this is very, very tough for the families to take. However, I also hope that they appreciate that there are people in Thailand that also do care as well - and care deeply enough to keep the pressure on the authorities to bring the perps to justice ! It would not be easy for them to keep up any momentum on their own and from the UK - and whilst the speculation is upsetting for them, I think it is the lesser of the 2 x evils in this particular scenario. No doubt some of the evidence has been deliberately with held and other evidence poorly conveyed / translated - and this has caused some confusion - maybe deliberately so ?

I heard in one of the earliest reports that the male victim ( David ) also seemed to have been raped - but now that line has also gone quiet. If he is Gay - maybe the DNA that was found on him was not from the actual crime scene and maybe that is why that particular line has seemingly been dropped.

My own observation is that this was much more of a hate crime that a rape crime. The Photo's would support that. Without being too explicit, I am not aware that the police have said whether they found fresh semen ( DNA ) inside the female victim ? They have repeated asked for people to come forward that might have had a previous sexual liaison with the girl ( meaning in the preceding days ).....not sure if this is because they have some doubt as to how old the DNA is ?

The DNA that was found was proved to be from " 2 x different Asian Men." The Police have said on various occasions that there wasn't any evidence of rape before she was murdered ( was this a poor translation or just incompetence )? They did not say that sex was consensual, nor did they say that rape did not take place after her death. There are many things that they haven't said that has caused so much speculation. One thing is for sure, the photo's depict a wild and gruesome crime scene that many would find very strange if the motive was only rape. Was the condom used on the handle of the Hoe to violate the girl - there is only DNA on the outside ? Someone was obviously very upset or completely out of their mind on drugs. I have heard that Thai Men can become very upset if anyone wiggles their little finger at them in a sort of " mocking manner " to suggest that they are not as big downstairs as they appear to be upstairs ? Was something said earlier in the night in the bar that could have triggered such a rage ?

The guy in the photos and CCTV IMO is the same guy - maybe the " Tattoo " was just an Henna Tattoo and he simply removed it once he knew he was in the frame ? Why cant this CCTV Video be sent for digital enhancement ? If he was caught on CCTV before 4am, why was the crime not reported until 06.30am ? What happened in between this time ?

If any of the Western guys were involved then they should be implicated by their DNA - but none found - so far.

On the other hand, whilst it does sound like a brutal / mafia style execution - why would the bodies be left on the beach ? They have enough contacts and power to seemingly arrange what ever they want on that Island. If it was the mafia, why did they not arrange a speed boat to collect the bodies and shift them to an area that they would never be found / likely ever be found ? Allowing someone to find these bodies on the beach would surely be the last thing a mafia gang would want, particularly so close to their own business interests.

There are many questions that so far remain unanswered. I hope the British Media demand the opportunity to ask all of these questions at some stage, rather than just reporting what they are told !

I have said this in another thread, everyone is assuming that whoever had sex with the girl that night was also responsible for her murder.

Without meaning any disrespect to the girl, this is a very dangerous assumption for investigators to make.

How many people have been cleared of murder because their DNA didn't match that from samples from the semen?

And have the samples from the semen matched any other samples taken at the crime scene?

Are they sure it's 85%? Not 83%? Or 86%?

Bunch of corrupt jokers try to make it sound as if they are working with a very well prepared and detailed plan. What they are really trying to tell us is that the investigation will be finalized very soon. An investigation should never reach a stage of conclusion if the killers aren't caught yet.

It's a nightmare if you end up in a situation where you NEED the TRP.

I've got a bit lost in all the misreporting . . . Did the "influential family" ever actually give DNA samples? Or was the fact that they "said" the son was in Bangkok (allegedly) at the time reason enough NOT to bother with it?

Word is that his friends can vouch for him and he's seen on CCTV, so surely he's free to go..facepalm.gif

But why was he the suspect earlier...

Because the DNA is a 70% match to his Dad Mon, it is definitely a relation,,,but who?

Mon has two sons, that we know of...Does he have a few Mia Noi as well (kept girlfriend)

Is he offering a million baht reward just in case someone does get murdered in December..

The world needs to have their say with their feet their money and their power they have to find the truth via social media..We are the only hope to solve this cover up...

1 more fact... The Ac bar ( and friends) are the source of all this "gay-lover" rumors. The NO SEX ON THE BEACH sign refers to the victim David , bcs. it was claimed the pathologists found sand in his rectum. Read the sign : NO SEX ON THE BEACH - Because sand gets up your bum...

You should read the post from this Ac bar gang - disgusting !!!

Sean McAnna's Google Plus profie containing many, many photographs of his life in Koh Tao, and some intering ones at that.

https://plus.google.com/101768055405292405319/photos

These photo's show how close he is/was with local Thai friends. Lots of photos in particular of fellow bar workers... and 2 who look extremely like the man in the CCTV. Sean writes that he will kill us all 'one by one'. Thats a normal statement to make isnt it. Sean views himself as anti-authority, anti-power, anti-control, and posts a photo implying he tkes drugs and is 'hippy type'. He is convicted of possessing indecent images of children. Each time i have tried to write my thoughts here, i have ended up writing too much, so im trying to keep this brief. I have followed this case with a very heavy heart from day 1. Like many of you, I just cannot switch off in the hope justice comes for David and Hannah.

One of the first posts on David Millers Facebook, after his murder was reported, was from Sean McAnna. He said something along the lines of 'F*** no brother, tell me it isnt you.' I find that odd. The second post from Sean, to Davids Facebook, was a long post explaining how he wished he was there and had gone out with him that night, as they had arranged to meet, but he had fallen asleep and didnt make it. Why would you say that. Yes some would say he was getting guilt off his chest. I however would say he was talking to the public. Telling everyone that he was not there. Why did Sean say 'I know you tried to save her' and then later write a post, again addressing the public on Davids Facebook profile, that 'it was just a guess'. Has Sean's phone been taken and annalysed? Have they retrievedall his data, present and deleted, from this month? Have they found the texts or phone calls leading up to and after the murders? Has proof been found about this arranged meet up between himself and David? Missed calls or a Text from David on the night, asking Sean why he hadnt arrived, and if he was coming? Has Davids phone been annalysed? It has been reported that Hannah's phone is missing, but what about Davids? MAybe that was left at the hotel, when he went back at 1am. Chris Ware said he then went back out, to get cigarettes, but we know David ended up back in the club. Sean posted more lengthy posts to Davids profile. Again addressing the public. Telling people to do something that David would do. Buy 2 breakfasts and share with a homeless person etc. Why was he addressing the public. Attention seeking at its worst, or an oscar winning performance of a guilty man fronting innocence and confidence. Sean and David met just last year, and yet Sean was displaying more misplaced heartache than any other person on Facebook. As we know, Sean used his Facebook a lot after this. He very quickly however, went on to post nothing but Scotland independance posts and photos. Until the whole Thai Mafia saga. Unfortunately, Sean deleted his account, and so i have not hd the chance to search his friends list to see what company he keeps. It has been reported that a spa worker, Jok, helped clean blood from Seans face and body. We know from Andy Lines reporting, that Seans guitar was covered in blood. Why? Has this been tested? In photos of Sean having an interview as he left the island, you can see a deep injury to his right forearm, light scratches to his left wrist, and what appears to be another injury concealed under his many bracelets. What are these and what caused them? On the koh Tao Community Board, a woman posted an image of a motor bike found 'deep in the thick north Sairee jungle'. She said is was clean, and looked very odd, just abandoned in the thick. She asked members IF she should report it to Police, and later announced she did, and that Police were kind and helpful. Who's bike was this? Why was it hidden? They must get Sean McAnna and spend more time questioning him.

I postulate that perhaps he was the one having a friendly cigarette with the two on the beach. The beach is just over the road from the ac bar and their accomodation if I am not mistaken

David probably wanted to try one more time to see his friend before leaving the island so messages would be very helpful but should be able to be fully checked through FBI or the yards tracking and hacking mechanisms.

I would then postulate that some Thai men came down possible started shoving David and things got out of hand. Sean tried to act as the peacemaker and perhaps because of his relationship with the locals was advised to leg it out of there before he was hurt. They have him a chance.

Alternatively Sean did make it to the beach to play the guitar heard what was going on left the group and saw what was happening and again was advised to leg it if he knew what was good for him or he d cop the same. Scrambling up the rocks would cause cuts and abrasions no doubt. He likely witnessed David's body bloodied and being dragged into the ocean. With that vision and a warning he fled rather than man up.

You can't blame him but he didn't get help and thats where his conscience is maybe coming into play.

All pure speculation and to be honest I am not willing to accept this guy as the scapegoat. If there was any way on gods green earth that this could have been pinned to Sean it would have happened.
