Anyone here ski or snowboard? Easiest slopes to get to from CMX?

Featured Replies

Since I won't be heading home this winter I'll be in Chiang Mai, but I still want to get some boarding in. Anyone know the easiest (closest) slopes to get to from CMX, I'm guessing somewhere in China?

Thanks. thumbsup.gif

Google 'xiling snow mountain'. Not as spectacular as Jade Mountain, but quicker to get too. Only 1:40 hour direct flight to Chengdu. Less high so short snow season.

TG 121 CNX BKK 20:55-22:10

TG 670 BKK CTS 23:55-06:30.

About 2.5 hours ground transport to Niseko and shredding the pow pow before lunch.

any slopes in Burma worth considering?

Jeremy C, is that you? ;-)

Plenty of slopes, and some of them are real beauties... but no snow.

Try China.

Agent Smith you've found it - snow in Burma!

Who would have thought...?

Will you join me on the slopes?

Send PM if interested.

You'll likely need a tourist visa, and in China tourist visas aren't given upon arrival. Easy to obtain a tourist visa for China from the Chinese consulate in Chiang Mai before leaving for China.

And you're flying into CMX , Calumet is a bout a 2 hour drive to Ironwood.
