Anyone here ski or snowboard? Easiest slopes to get to from CMX?

Since I won't be heading home this winter I'll be in Chiang Mai, but I still want to get some boarding in. Anyone know the easiest (closest) slopes to get to from CMX, I'm guessing somewhere in China?

Only 4 hour transit from Chiang Mai airport to nearest airport. But don't know if you can handle the altitude.

Actually an interesting place for holiday this winter with the wife and kid. Crush those desires to move to Canada. I hate cold!

Google 'xiling snow mountain'. Not as spectacular as Jade Mountain, but quicker to get too. Only 1:40 hour direct flight to Chengdu. Less high so short snow season.

You'll likely need a tourist visa, and in China tourist visas aren't given upon arrival. Easy to obtain a tourist visa for China from the Chinese consulate in Chiang Mai before leaving for China.

And you're flying into CMX , Calumet is a bout a 2 hour drive to Ironwood.
