Hello all.

I have got my 60 day tourist visit which is for a single entry... On the visa it says I have to travel to thailand by the 23rd of December which is fine. However it doesn't have a date to leave by. Is this decided on arrival at in immigration and how do they know its. 60 day tourist visa.

Thank tou

The visa does not limit the amount of time you can stay. A tourist visa gives a maximum entry of 60 days that can be extended for 30 days at immigration. The immigration officers are certainly aware of this.

As long as you enter the country before 23rd December, when you arrive you will be given permission to stay for 60 days and then you can extend that for an additional 30 days at an immigrations office. During the 60 + 30 days, it doesn't matter that the visa has been used/expired as long as you remain in the country.

No. The expiration date of the permission to stay will be indicated on the arrival stamp.
