Moved to Thai visas forum.

What kind of extension do you have?

Marriage, retirement or employment and do you qualify for that category.

Fake visas are often obtained by people that do not qualify for an extension.

Also do you live in the region covered by the office?

Do you live in one of these provinces Ayutthaya, Ang Tong or Suphanburi?

If not then the only legit extension you could possibly have is one for a tourist visa entry.

There must be an organisation that sells fake visas, but also work permit from this province. I'd interviewed a British national a couple of years ago and it turned out that he'd bought his visa,as well as his work permit.

The Immigration officer at a place in lower north east just took a look at his "visa", saw a missing stamp and wanted to go for it. He finally decided in favor of the school, where the Brit applied for a job by telling him to leave the country immediately to Laos to obtain a real visa from a Thai consulate.

This guy worked a couple of years on such visas and work permits and it seems to be pretty common for people to "buy" their fake stamps.

OP, I do not understand why you're using an agent and now wondering if it's real?

All I remember is that the usual stamp of this particular Immigration was missing. If I were you, I'd be careful if you're on such a fake one.

It seems pretty suspicious to me that you post here and ask people to upload the image of a real visa. Why does it smell so fishy?

Sorry, it wasn't an accusation.Something just don't sound right here. Could you please clarify what sort of agent that was and how much you paid for it?

.

OP... I am pretty sure the extension stamp "looked" normal. But the record of it was not entered into the immigration computer system and when the person tried to exit the country no record existed so that is why they suspected it was bogus. Further investigation of the signatures, location, etc., proved it to be false.

Having a picture of the stamp will not help you determine if yours is authentic.
