SoFarAndNear Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 my oh my...not long and it starts like in turkey...where the goverments starts to block youtube and twitter... and considering about banning the sites...
Popular Post Johnsen Posted October 8, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2014 And what of the rumours of the village heads son escaping on the first flight out of Samui on bk air under a different name. If that proves to be true their license to fly should be suspended or revoked. Massive security risk when people r allowed to fly under an alias. Surely CCTV footage at the airport should be investigated at both ends. Same goes for the university. If they r in on the cover up that is simply disgraceful. Come on Samui airport release the CCTV footage of passengers boarding every flight that day. Passenger manifests would b handy also .. 5

lostinisaan Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 In a statement released on Tuesday, the London-based rights group called on Thai authorities to “ensure an independent and thorough investigation into mounting allegations of torture and other ill-treatment by the police, and respect the right to a fair trial” during the murder probe. Thais do not do anything that harms other people. Especially not cops. Will be interesting to see, if there was such a torture. Thai police documents are pretty often changed, depending on the amount of the customer's wallet. Wouldn't use the word "forged" for it now. Changed sounds much better, also when telling a monk about the sins.

inzman Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Truthfully I don't think the new PM has enough power to clean out the corruption here. He is only one man against a very powerful machine.

KhunBoy Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The whole country will face the gallows because of the F#$%%ing Thai police. The people enforcing the law are rotten and you and your children face a bleak future. 1
Chanthaburi Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 This country don't have any idea how hard shit did hit on the fan when Amnesty interest.
seabass69 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 By whom might an 'independent investigation' be undertaken?
lucpez Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Let's keep up the pressure. It's not over yet. Pm said today is ready to explain the investigation to burmese authorities in his upcoming trip to burma. Not a good sign.
Scully Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 "The British newspaper The Guardian also reported that photographic evidence, seen by the newspaper, of the alleged abuse of three other Burmese migrant workers who said they had been scalded with boiling water during a police interrogation, had been passed to the British ambassador to Thailand Mark Kent". What good will handing this to Mr Kent be?, he has already expressed his pleasure in the police forces investigation. Seriously though he has a vested interest in not rocking the boat, if he is really looking out for the British public in Thailand then he needs to do all he can to serve justice for the parents. 1

santa1000 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 If i was the police officer responsible for this case, i would commit suicide now.
GanDoonToonPet Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I'm not one for conspiracy theories, especially idiotic ones as spouted on CSI LA & other places but it looks increasingly likely that the DNA evidence isn't sound. Of course, this could be an 'OJ' type case where they have the guilty party but decided to 'sure up' the case by fabricating evidence.
Popular Post iReason Posted October 8, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2014 Truthfully I don't think the new PM has enough power to clean out the corruption here. He is only one man against a very powerful machine. It's all one machine. Just different gangs fighting for the same turf. Perhaps, the General should investigate why his brother, Assistant army chief Lt Gen Preecha Chan-o-cha, a soldier, has 80,000,000B in the bank... 3
Dogmatix Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 But, they have a positive DNA match with the Burmese... Only the second time. The first time they tested the two suspects there was no match. Strange. 1
Tokay Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 At this stage there is no way, NO WAY, the police are going to lose face on this and be in the wrong, even if it means mixing up DNA evidence and planting evidence for another group to test. The backlash and loss of face would be too great for them to allow this to happen now. 1
littlebw Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 i actually believe that the 2 Burmese did rape Hannah although i believe that they were invited to by Mon and nephew /son Mon and nephew / son needed help so they used these 2 to help then Mon and son / nephew killed them due to losing face in the bar
BKK Blues Brother Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I am very glad to see this arrest falling apart for the police. Shows the real power of the internet and social media. As off now 47,000 have signed the petition to the British Goverment https://www.change.org/p/the-government-of-the-united-kingdom-independently-investigate-the-horrific-murders-of-hannah-witheridge-and-david-miller Also 277K! have joined a discussion group on FB https://www.facebook.com/CSILA90210 Koh Tao and Thailand will be a safe place in the future if we all pull together. 2
SteveFong Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 It's not just Kho Tao that benefits All of Thailand will now take a first brave step forward; even if they had to be hit directly in "their face" to wake up to 2014 Social media and the population of good people can and did make a difference A renewal of spirit is upon us all
mrtoad Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 If i was the police officer responsible for this case, i would commit suicide now. I am sure there are plenty here that would help him.
SteveFong Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 If i was the police officer responsible for this case, i would commit suicide now. I am sure there are plenty here that would help him. It is also just as likely that the Army will step in, and people will quickly disappear
englishoak Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday called on the Thai public and media not to specifically mention the nationality of the suspects, and suggested that they be referred to instead as "migrant workers", after news reports in global media specified the suspects as the nationals of a neighbouring country all along."I need to ask the Thai media for cooperation on this," he added.http://www.nationmultimedia.com/national/Prosecutors-seek-changes-30245056.html So whys that then ?
SteveFong Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 not to me, the CCTV showed sideburns pointing out, this guys are pointing in
