Bank of America log in change

Featured Replies

For the last couple of days in order to log in to BoA online banking using a Thai !P address I am now required to enter a safe pass code, from the safe pass card or text msg to a U.S. cell phone number. I have both so no problem but inconvenient. So today I used VPN from several different countries and had no problem signing in only using my password. So this seems to be Thailand unique. Just another benefit of living in Thailand. Wonder what caused this to only happen to people who live here and also has anyone else noticed this change ?

Forget to add I have the requirement to use safe pass code to log in disabled in the settings.

No problem logging onto my BoA banking account from Bangkok using True....just my plain ol' Thailand IP address. Did it just a minute ago to confirm. While I have a SafePass card for transfers I don't use it for logon. I really need to cancel this account as I haven't used them for around 5 years after switching to other U.S. banks which are less fee-hungry...guess I kept hoping BoA might become less-evil.

Reset the adsl modem and did a reboot on the computer and the problem seems to be fixed. very strange.

I just tried my BofA account login and it worked normally.
