Recalls

Featured Replies

I read about huge recalls of Japanese cars in the US (Honda, Nissan, Mazda etc) because of airbag problems, especially if the car is used in a climate with high humidity. Anyone heard about recalls in Thailand as well? Is there more information actually on which type of models/car brands effected?

Don't think they do recalls here something to do with saving face theirs not yourssmile.png

Those recalls are for much older cars as well, as much as pre 2004, up to the late 2000's, pre 2010 as I recall, which is my Mazda Rx8, if your car is newer then that it is probably not being recalled. I need to bring it in for new airbags! Yeah! Can't replace the bag without ruining the passenger side cover in the case of the 8 as the covers are always cracked junk, it is a well known issue Mazda has been dodging for years.

My 2007 Toyota Vigo had a recall which they did talk about in LOS. They sent me a letter in English, they noted my English name thumbsup.gif , and yes it was an airbag issue. smile.png

Just had a Ranger 'recall' notice in the mail for a possible radiator hose rubbing on something it aint ought'er be. Free fix at any Ford shop when presented anytime up until 31 August 2016.

Letter was addressed to me in English.... I guess this is what it feels like to be an old Vigo owner eh?
