Cold Comfort In The Bat Cave

It has been a long and freezing winter.

Mrs vampire bat is hanging , shivering , from the roof of the cave waiting

for Mr vb to return.

Finally , he swoops in through the cave mouth and hooks onto the roof beside her.

Mrs vb : "Well ?"

Mr vb : "Nothin' , there's not a living creature out in that snow"

She looks at him and sees his muzzle is covered in blood.

Mrs vb : "You lying sh*t! Your gob is covered in blood! Where did you find it?"

Mr vb : "It's not what you think"

Mrs vb : "Never mind what I think! Where was it? I haven't fed for three weeks!"

Mr vb : "OK , follow me"

He whizzes out of the cave , Mrs vb in close pursuit. Along the valley and through

the pass into the next valley. He slows a little and Mrs vb glides up alongside.

Mr vb : "You see that tree in the middle of the next pass"

Mrs vb "Yeah ?"

Mr vb "When I came through here just now it was snowing and I didn't see it"...................
